denver transit alliance citizens academy: Night Photo Shoot of Denver Exposes me to New Passion - 01/16/10 06:53 PM

For Christmas, my husband gave me a Nikon D3000 camera which was a gift appreciated beyond words! About a week ago, we decided to participate in an evening photo shoot of Denver put on by a local group. We showed up with our camera and a very old tri-pod that had belonged to my father-in-law....it was very flimsy and after setting it up, I made an on-the-spot decision that there was no way I was going to put my brand new Nikon on that contraption....so, I faced a night of taking pictures trying to find a flat surface for my camera.

denver transit alliance citizens academy: New Transit Alliance Citizens' Academy Begins Tonight - 09/23/09 07:00 PM

Tonight kicks off the fall class of Denver's Transit Alliance Citizens' Academy and as a former graduate, I have been asked to make a short presentation to the class. All participants are asked to put together a personal action plan as to how they will take the information garnered from the training and participate in community outreach.
