Whisky A -Go-Go: A Must visit Rock Mecca on the Sunset Strip! - 05/31/11 05:09 PM
Whisky A -Go-Go: A Must visit Rock Mecca on the Sunset Strip! As I was driving on Sunset Boulevard I drove by Whisky A-Go-Go (http://www.whiskyagogo.com ) and started remembering the legendary hangout of musicians and hipsters of the 1960's. The ones that did not get their first opportunity at the Troubadour (I have written a blog post a few years ago about the Troubadour http://actvra.in/bFJ ) started here at the Whisky A-Go-Go. They opened their door on January 11, 1964 and the rest is Rock History Legend and Folklore. Just to name some of the performers The Door, Joplin,

Woody's Barbeque: a Los Angeles family owned Barbeque Institution! - 05/30/11 10:53 PM
Woody's Barbeque: a Los Angeles family owned Barbeque Institution! The first Woody's Barbeque ( http://www.woodysbarbquela.com ) was opened about 30+ years ago on Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles. As you can see customer loyalty is still there. Woody Phillips of Woody's Barbeque felt that his ability to cook was a gift from God. He never used chemicals, electricity or gas to make his barbeque. He used a brick pit which he designed after the old-fashioned barbeques which used to be dug in the ground. He is a firm believer to have fall of the bone meat you need to

Memorial Day Weekend what does it mean to you? - 05/28/11 01:07 PM
Memorial Day Weekend what does it mean to you? If you are in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills or anywhere in the United States what does Memorial Day mean to you? As some of you know Memorial Day Weekend has signified to many the beginning of summer. To many it is Parades, hot dogs, hamburgers and hanging out either at the beach or by water of any type. As a Veteran Memorial Day means more to me, as a Patriotic American it means thanking all the Veterans who gave their lives so we can have a long weekend with fun, food, friends

Congress wants to put the American Dream out of Reach for most people!Take Action! - 05/23/11 07:30 PM
Congress wants to put the American Dream out of Reach for most people!Take Action! First I would like to give you my position with a little background: I am all for responsible lending, buying and keeping deadbeats and cheats out of home ownership. When my parents bought their home they had to put down 20 per cent and we had to pool our resources to make it happen. The house was $42,500.00 and my mother sold some of her jewelry, as my father sold his coin collection and I took a job during the summer and gave my first semester College

Tommy Trojan, the University of Southern California's most recognized Statue! - 05/19/11 10:04 PM
Tommy Trojan, the University of Southern California's most recognized Statue! Near the centre of the USC campus is one of the most famous collegiate landmarks in the United States: Tommy Trojan. Since the unveiling of Tommy Trojan in 1930, the bronzed Trojan warrior has been the symbol of the university's fighting spirit. The statue was sculpted by Roger Noble Burnham and it cost $10,000 to build; it was paid for by a Football ticket surcharge of $1. One year the cross town Rival UCLA prankster painted Tommy Trojan blue and gold (UCLA's colors) (around 1941). Since then during the week of

Did you know that Freddie Mac is offering incentives to buyers & buyer's agents? - 05/18/11 06:12 PM

At the same time they are offering $1200 bonus to the buyer's agent who bring the offer on Home Steps properties. Conditions are you have to be in Escrow by July 31st and Escrow must close before September 30th. The purchaser must be an owner occupant, cannot be an investor buyer. This is what I call a great way to stimulate the buyers to get off the fence and buy

Southern California's Lemon varieties consist of: Lisbon, Eureka and Meyer Lemons - 05/16/11 08:25 PM
Southern California's Lemon varieties consist of: Lisbon, Eureka and Meyer Lemons. Eureka Lemons make up the bulk of the lemon crops from California, Australia and Israel. They originally came from Sicily. More than likely this is what you will be buying in a Grocery Store. They have a small nipple on one end and are somewhat smaller compared to the other varieties. Lisbon lemons are medium in size, a bit elliptical to oblong and the skin is smoother not as ribbed as the Eureka and the nipple is more prominent. As the name implies they were introduced from Portugal.

Lakers Fans, Sports Fans, a Lesson on Character! - 05/10/11 11:02 PM
Lakers Fans, Sports Fans, a Lesson on Character As most of you all know the fourth game was the elimination game of the Los Angeles Lakers from the Play Offs. A team that has great talent on the court as well as on the bench and in the coaching staff at all levels. So in spite of talent something was amiss. The team not only failed their players but they failed their fans as well. I was driving to a Showing in Los Feliz to show my client a $990,000.00 Bank Foreclosure. The previous owner paid $1.6 million for it in

Congratulations go out to the Heroic Team who eliminated the Most Wanted Terrorist in the World Congratulations go out to the Heroic Team who eliminated the Most Wanted Terrorist in the World. As some of you know the "secret team" consisted of SEALs, US Army Rangers, and Delta Force & CIA operatives. I am very happy, that not one US soldier was injured or killed during a 40 minute fire fight which killed or captured over 22 people. This is where intelligence, surveillance and technology met Preparation, Practice and Flawless Execution and accomplished a favorable outcome. So with that
