Speechless Sunday: Double Done's with a few extras... I have always had extra food to prepare for a later meal. Needless to say, I made baked potatoes and kept them in the fridge for making a different meal.
Well today I thought it would be fun to use my left-over baked potatoes as "Double Dones" and add the leftover vegies from the other day to it. Now with that said I needed to have some meat with it as well.

Monday Motivation: How to inspire the "non speaker" to speak.
One of my favorite books 'Doubling Your Brain Power' address this question and I thought I would share here and see what your thoughts are.
The ones who are what we call the silent ones, not just on Active Rain, but in real life.
These were the advice given:
1. Draw them out with praise.
2. Ask pointed questions
3. Make comments that provoke response
4. Once they start talking do not interrupt.
5. Give positive feedback.

Wordless Wednesdays: sometimes the sides are the focal point of a meal. When I have leftovers, I try to provide a great side dish or a great bread, well tonight I chose a biscuit, and it was a winner.
This is the second time I made it and it was delicious both times. Keep in mind under 20 minutes you have a great Bisquit. No hard labor easy to make.
If you love a great biscuit, this one is take my word for it.

One of my friends asked me what my favorite Bordeaux wine is? Now my answer is... well it is not a simple answer. The photo above is of a $100+ bottle of Bordeaux, if you get the opportunity do enjoy it.
Bordeaux wines can range from one price point to the extreme. So, with that said I need to break it down into various price point categories.

I generally stay within the under $25 budget for everyday dinner drinking. Let's face it, we cannot afford the high end for everyday drinking, nor should we even if we could.

Wordless Wednesdays: mixing leftovers with something new... Diane asked me to clean out some of the leftovers from the Fridge for dinner. So with that said I said no problem.
Just to be clear pasta and veggies what else to add well how about seared scallops:)

Pre-Anniversary Dinner Well it is Diane's Anniversary... hard to believe we have managed to stay together for 29 years...
Now with that said, I chose to make a pre anniversary dinner it was a takeoff on Debe Maxwell, CRS recipe. It was her inspiration.
Many changes and many differences but the inspiration was the real meaning to this meal. Recipe will follow sometimes in the near future.

Look what arrived at my home: a fantastic bottle of Bordeaux.... one of my clients reach out to me for advice. Yes, it was Real Estate related... he wanted to thank me by sending me money. I absolutely rejected the idea. He insisted I insisted then he said OK.
He asked casually what I like to drink, I mentioned I am a red Bordeaux wine drinker.

Have you heard of the book "Holigent Solution" by A. Nicholas Frank? I have not either. It is an amazing book. Many years ago, I received an Active Rain referral to sell a duplex here in Los Angeles. I was thrilled to have the opportunity, FYI the sellers were three siblings living in three different states.

Well just to be clear a night or two ago I saw my neighbor across the street put out two big bags and they were Yellow and had written on it YellowSack... I did not think much about it. I saw him load dirt into it... later in the evening I saw a potential scavenger stop and look what was in the bags and drove off disappointed....

Well I will try to keep this to minimal word. Now with that said last night the Fireworks kept going past 3am... Diane woke up around 3:30 am and the fireworks continued. Then look what the news had to say. The picture tells it all... as you can see the photo was taken before 9 pm.

This morning Diane complained about the Air Quality and I casually mentioned to her because it was like being in Combat Zone seven or eight hours non stop fireworks.... seriously it was worse than a simulated combat exercise. Happy Independence Day, or as it is more commonly known, Happy 4th of July - the 244th year of America’s Independence.

I write this Observations from a Beverly Hills Realtor's perspective with mixed emotions and trepidations. We in the U.S. celebrate our founders great visions of creating Freedom and Equality for all. I can’t help but ask in what direction are we heading? Will we celebrate the 245th 4th of July confident that everything is heading in the right direction?
