I have been asked this question by many buyers: We have submitted an Offer on this home, why do we not get a response?
I find this question a difficult one to answer, in light of the fact, that we have included a copy of the earnest money check, the proof of funds and it was a reasonable offer taking into consideration the condition of the home. I was involved in a Tragic Journey from a Short Sale to Foreclosure. I represented the buyer and another agent represented the seller. The seller had an Attorney, who had a successful track record of negotiating short sales.
The history:  We have written at least eight or ten FHA Offers, without getting any accepted.  We lost out to Conventional Loan buyers, Cash Buyers and buyers who had large down payments. Finally May 2009 we received the "good news"...." Congratulations your offer was accepted".  Then the journey began.

The Reverse Offer is that a buyer motivator or is it just a bad strategy?Is this for desperate home sellers a poor strategy?
Have you heard of the Reverse Offer? This is where a seller writes an offer to the buyer. This Strategy has been considered controversial at best. I have heard agent using it n a case by case basis, where the interested buyer is dragging their feet on writing an offer and this would prompt them to negotiate.
I find this negotiating against the seller's best interest from a financial perspective. What are your thoughts?
