Los Angeles, CA 90027 Single Family Residences: Market Snapshot
Often, I get asked:  Endre how is the Market? This I find interesting, because then in turn I come back with many questions, such as:  are you interested in the National Figures? Are you Interested in the certain part of the Greater Los Angeles area? Are you asking about Single-Family Residences? Or are you interested in the Income Property or the Condominium Market? I could go on and on, not wanting to bore you, let me just get to the point.
One of the conversations that I just had was focused on the … (8 comments)

los angeles: Love where you live? California Dreaming: Los Angeles .... - 03/22/20 09:22 PM
Do you love where you live? Indeed, I love where I live. For me, that is and has been the Greater Los Angeles area. I visualized that it will be  my dream life. Diane and I relocated from Boston, MA  came here to create our future.
“There is nothing like a dream to create the future.”
 Victor Hugo

A long time ago I have recognized and accepted the fact, that ‘change’ is the only constant in life. I learned this early in life, as I was moving from country to country and State to State.
Hence, I can safely say, Los Angeles has been … (17 comments)

los angeles: Do you love to eat Lobster? We do and can never get enough... - 11/07/18 10:52 PM
I love to eat lobster, so with that said I am very thankful for my friends, Lisa Von Domek  and Debe Maxwell, CRS   for twisting my arm to go to Boston, MA for the NAR  convention but more particularly to go to the Meet Up at the Sheraton Hotel.

Since we moved to Los Angeles about 22+ years ago we had a tradition that who ever went to Boston, MA had to come back with at least two Lobsters. Generally that has been Diane on a consistent basis. There were a few exceptions when time did not permit it. My favorite place to purchase … (59 comments)

Can you find the cats? If yes, how many did you find?
This post has morphed from a Speechless Sunday to a neighborhood good deed post. Well let me give you a little background history.
A little over a year ago, we had a huge stray cat problem in our neighborhood. All the neighbors were complaining, and I will just leave it at that. We helped a little by bringing Wiley into our home, despite Jill’s disapproval.
Fast forward a few months and the latest home owner who moved into the neighborhood and Diane had a few conversations. Next thing I know, she got … (16 comments)

The latest California Trends: Electric Scooters time to regulate them…
Just to give you a little background: I have been one of the early proponents of the Bike Share Program when politicians were studying them in Beverly Hills, CA and Santa Monica, CA. I have written way back then about the foolish waste of money and time that both local governments were about to spend when all they had to do was look at the feasibility study that Boston, MA did way before and were already implementing it successfully.
Many years later you can see the Bike Share program working extremely successfully all … (31 comments)

Palms, is a specific  section of West Los Angeles, now with that said look at the connection with LACommons.org....
I have been driving around in the greater Los Angeles Neighborhoods for quite some time. Lately I have noticed some great artistic changes to Electric Boxes that have looked boring and now they seem to have a vibrant look to it. Every time I drove by one of these colorful remakes of the boxed I was in a rush heading to point A and did not have time. Now with that said I had to same issue heading home, hence no time to … (14 comments)

los angeles: Almost Wordless Wednesdays: Daydreaming or Dreaming.... - 04/11/18 12:00 AM
These two pictures are from our last visit to San Francisco with our friends. As we were leaving Alcatraz I took these two pictures. I am confident you can see or feel the emotional concentration. What was Diane thinking? Was she dreaming? Was she daydreaming? I never asked... you tell me...

The second picture was taken split seconds before or split seconds after the above photo. We were leaving Alcatraz. Keep in mind this was our fourth time there, never the less the view of the Golden Gate Bridge remains equally emotional...

los angeles: Look : There is Rain in the horizon for Los Angeles, CA. 90045 - 02/28/18 10:07 PM
The other day I was just about to leave the house for an appointment and I looked up to the sky. I was thrilled I called Diane and told her "Look there is Rain in the horizon for us" her first reaction was "Turn off the Automatic Sprinklers" I saw joy and she saw cost savings:)))) All good.
For those of you who have been hearing me, lamenting that we have not had any Rain this year, this was very exciting. Of course keep in mind we would need a weeks worth and we would still be behind the average rain statistics … (26 comments)

The most famous and recognized local attractions in Los Angeles is actually:  Beverly Hills!

los angeles: Did you know that Palm Trees get Haircuts too? - 08/01/15 03:21 PM
Did you know that Palm Trees get Haircuts too?
Having relocated from the East Coast, being a transplanted Los Angeles aka Angelino, I had many misconceptions. One of them being that Palm Trees are generic to California and specifically Los Angeles. After all, I have seen many movies of Sunset Blvd as well as movies of Beverly Hills. So I did not need to be confused with facts.
Well the reality is that Palm Trees are imported to California and Los Angeles. They are not generic to Los Angeles vegetation.
Needless to say then I had to learn that Palm Trees do not look … (26 comments)

The calls keep coming in: this time it was Ed Silva from Waterbury CT

We have been bantering back and forth with comments for the past few days on Active Rain, ever since I connected with George Souto. Ed was intrigued by the fact that I lived in Waterbury, CT for a time and more importantly that I graduated from the University of Connecticut as did he on both counts. He of course got an Engineering degree, while I just wanted to get out the fastest way and a BA in German got me that ticket!
