 The long awaited November Condominium Market Report for Marina Del Rey, CA is finally here. As some of you know I have and am out of the country as this is being written.  As we all are aware about the uncertainty of the pace of the economic recovery, everyone is looking at the Real Estate Activity as a Gage. Hence I find that more savvy buyers are stepping into the market. A clear indication is Investors are considering mortgage-backed securities as a relatively safe choice hence you see that the interest rates are at a 50 year low.

The age old question:  What sells a home?  I have read many articles, posts and comments. There is a big school of thought that many agents, brokers believe that the answer is: The Price. I am a firm believer Price is just one of the components. The real reason a house sells is the Realtor®. The Realtor® recommends the price and the marketing strategy.
What is the Marketing Strategy? It is Staging, Open houses, broker's open houses and internet exposure.

The Blue Water Grill, Redondo Beach CA, is a must visit eating destination for seafood lovers.  Those of you, who know me,  Diane and I live in Marina Del Rey, CA and love seafood. As an east coast transplant, going on too many years to remember (14+) Diane and I love to eat seafood, and it is our main source for Dinner. Lately I stopped going to Santa Monica to get my seafood supplies and started going to King Harbor, Redondo Beach, CA. Time wise it takes me just as long as if I went to Santa Monica.

Well here it is beginning of January, 2009; I have seen the weather reports on the East Coast, freezing, wind chill -10 degrees. Yes, I remember those days, since I lived in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. People ask me what is the attraction to Southern California? Why do people gravitate to Southern California?

Well here we are 2008 is in the history books now.  Last night as I stopped in to visit one of my clients to wish them a prosperous New Year, they informed me, that we even "added an extra second" to 2008. I am sure it did not help with last years numbers.

The other day I had what I call a truly International Real Estate day. One of my earliest clients I met in Los Angeles e-mailed me and wanted a synopsis of the Real Estate Market.
