ocean view homes: Bouillabaisse-Marseille-France-Legendary Fish-Stew-Soup - 10/23/11 09:18 PM
Bouillabaisse-Marseille-France-Legendary Fish-Stew-Soup When you think of Marseille what comes to your mind? Mischief, Sailors, Debauchery, Vice, Vulgarity and of course Bouillabaisse, Marseilles is one, if not the oldest city in France. The history of this seaport city goes back to the days of Julius Caesar and Pompey. Marseilles has weathered time and has become outside of Paris a Cultural Center. This is not the Marseilles of “French Connection” fame. Enough digressing let me give you what you really want: The World Famous Bouillabaisse ala Endre Barath Marina Del Rey Style. Since I do not want to insult, the great Seaport and

ocean view homes: The Venice Boardwalk in Venice CA - 10/20/11 03:53 PM
The Venice Boardwalk in Venice CA I have written about Venice Beach, Venice Restaurants, the Venice Lifestyle and the Venice Library over the years. These are some of the pictures of that “lifestyle” I am referring to. They are well worth seeing. Venice is a unique beach community south of Santa Monica and north of Marina Del Rey. The history is very colorful as well as the visitors and the residents. Venice is a microcosm of Los Angeles. There are famous artists; some of the entertainment industry’s who is who, street musicians, and middle-class residents as well as left over

ocean view homes: The Pirates Have Landed at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, CA - 10/18/11 08:04 PM
The Pirates Have Landed at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, CA If you thought that Pirates only existed in the 1800’s, or in books, or on the big screen, well I am here to disprove that Theory. Diane and I were walking around the Pier at King Harbor this past Sunday and we were totally amazed. Yes there really are pirates. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well check these pictures out. As a Realtor I am wondering what this will do to the Ocean View Condominiums and Ocean view Homes values nearby, if word gets

ocean view homes: Playa Del Rey Condominium Market Report for March 2011 - 04/05/11 08:22 PM
Playa Del Rey Condominium Market Report for March 2011 As I mentioned last month that Credit has loosened up a bit and consumer confidence is on the road to recovery. Keep in mind it is still a very fragile confidence and as long as there are factors which create fear, these factors can derail this recovery. Some of these are the Middle East, the after effects of the Japanese Tsunami and I could go on and on. Although I mentioned that existing home sales have improved due to Lenders loosening up the Credit a bit, keep in mind that over 30%

So was the Forbes Report Right or Wrong? You be the Judge! As you know, Late last night early this morning, I saw that Forbes came out with the highest priced Zip Code List for the country, so I immediately focused on the greater Los Angeles Real Estate Zip Codes. Not all of them, I just picked out randomly three Zip Codes that interested me, since my Real Estate Office is in Beverly Hills and I was asking the day before where people would prefer to live if the choice was between Malibu or Bel Air. After reviewing these three areas I

Are there any German Speaking writing Realtors on Active Rain in Alabama? I have a client referral that I would love to give out. I have sent out a Referral Offer without any response. So I thought maybe this would serve two purposes. One I am hopefull that, I will get a response from someone who speaks and writes German and would like a buyer. The buyer is all cash and would like to buy a Single Family Residence, preferably near water. The second part is more of awareness that we have a Referral Portal that the membership should look at in

ocean view homes: We like this home! Great let’s write an Offer! - 09/08/10 06:58 PM
We like this home! Great let's write an Offer! We like this home! Great, let's write an Offer! I love this part of the conversation with a buyer. Now comes the more interesting part, when I have to explain what it will take to accomplish this. This does not matter if you are buying a Luxury home in Beverly Hills or a Waterfront Ocean View Home in Marina Del Rey or Malibu. In California there is more paperwork to be completed than many other states. Why is that? Part of the reason is, because we live in a very litigious state

ocean view homes: The vision of Abbot Kinney “The American Venice Canals” in Venice, CA - 09/07/10 04:49 PM
The vision of Abbot Kinney "The American Venice Canals" in Venice, CA. The vision of Abbot Kinney "The American Venice Canals" materialized in the late 1890's to early 1900's in spite the opposition and the lack of belief by many in the Greater Los Angeles area. Abbot Kinney hired a landscape architect from Boston, MA. Shortly thereafter the Grand Canal stared to get dug up. His goal was to make a small town in the "Venetian Renaissance" style. As with any dream delays are unpredictable if they are caused by nature. Two very disastrous winter storms delayed the project. Nevertheless by

Not the everyday Labor Day Weekend at Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey, CA Not the everyday Labor Day Weekend at Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey, CA . I am accustomed to the usually very crowded event. I remember hundreds of people circling, looking for parking spaces as they were trying to avoid paying a fee for parking. This year I did not see that. So I decided to take a stroll and walk to the beach to see what was going on? I found the beach vacant, hardly anyone out there. I understand the Weather Forecasters missed their predictions. They said there will

Marina Del Rey Condominium Market Report for Month of August, 2010 Well here we are it is September 2, 2010; the months just keep flying by. We have had a busy year up to now. One needs to look at the trends nationally as well as locally. I monitor three micro pockets of the West Los Angeles Real Estate Market very closely and find that they are all different month to month. So
