In recent years, Farmer's Markets are once again becoming the place for communities to come together, but our local Farmers Market is a long standing tradition. The Kamloops Farmer's Market actually got its start all the way back in 1914.In 1914, the Kamloops city council set up a local farmers market with sixteen wooden booths where the Plaza Heritage Hotel is at Fourth Avenue and Victoria Street. The original market thrived until after the First World War.
