Estimating Closing Costs Correctly: One More Reason You Need an Agent - 09/30/11 11:21 AM
On a popular real estate portal, a consumer posed the following question: "Are there good closing cost estimators? I may sell my place and rent but need to research the costs of doing so. You KNOW an agent can do a better job, but still want to undertake this important step yourself to save the money. In the long run this is dangerous, because

Schuylkill County Tax Appeals - 09/12/11 07:27 PM
Schuylkill County Tax Appeals Dear Erica, I purchased my home in April 2011, and I got a notice in the mail the other day that there is a tax reassessment hearing for my property at the end of this month. What are my options? Okay, problem is you PAID that amount for the house. So the school district is now appealing your taxes trying to raise them, because you paid more for it than they previously had on their tax records. Short version is you have no recourse. Your argument -- "I didn't know you'd raise my taxes"
