dance marathon: Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) - Students Helping Kids With Cancer - 10/26/07 09:06 PM

If you start to see Penn State students on corners, in the middle of busy roads and outside stores in your town, please stop and give them any change you might have. The IFC/Panhellenic Penn State Dance Marathon, or THON, is the largest student run philanthropy in the world! Over the last 35 years, Penn State students have raised $46 MILLION dollars to help fight pediatric cancer. Just last year alone they raised $5.2 million.
If you have never attended the event, it's a sight to see. Over 800 dancers stand on their feet for 48 hours straight. No sitting, no … (1 comments)
