Plan Your Home Inspection For A Rainy Day!

While it's a rare thing to be able to schedule your home inspection around the weather report, if you have a choice between a sunny day and a potentially rainy one, pick the rainy day.

On sunny days, it might be a little more fun for the inspector to take his time around the outside of the house, but if it's raining, they'll be able to tell a lot more.

For instance, water run-off. If they can see the way the water is running away (hopefully) from the house, it give a better idea of if there will be potential water invasion issues down the road.

Also, they might be able to see if there's any water coming into the attic, creating possible problems in the future.

While you might "feel sorry" for the inspector as they're dealing with the rain while inspecting, you'll be able to watch from inside the nice, dry house that will soon be your new home.

PS. It rains far less than half the time, so if you're having a home inspection on a day without rain, don't fret. They inspectors that I recommend can tell these things even if it's not raining.
