The Narrows in Zion National Park is one of the most popular hikes in the park.  Hikers are allowed to walk a few miles into the Narrows without a permit.  Most of the hike is river walking, so it is a bit strenuous.  Slippery rocks and swift water crossings make it a little tricky at times.  The water is deep enough to swim in at several points along the hike, if you choose. My family likes this hike because it's not too difficult for any of us and we enjoy the hike in the refreshing water on a hot afternoon!

My kids have been hearing a lot of good things about Antigravity Trampoline Arena in St George Utah.  We decided to check it out for ourselves last night and the kids had a blast!  My 23 year old daughter enjoyed it as much as my 11 year old son.  There was something  for everyone, whether it's perfecting back flips or just bouncing down the rows of tramps.

"Subway" in Zion National Park is a slot canyon hike located in the Kolob Terrace section of Zion. This is one of the beautiful waterfalls you'll encounter as you hike through this canyon. Subway is one of my daughter's favorite canyons because of the gorgeous scenery and refreshing water all along the hike.

Subway is approximately 9.5 miles long and takes about 7-8 hours to complete the hike.  You will need a Zion backcountry permit to enter the canyon because the park only allows 50 people per day to explore the canyon.

My daughter, who is an avid canyoneer, recently explored Mystery Canyon in Zion National Park.  In this photo you can see she's high above the park with that gorgeous view behind her.
Mystery Canyon is one of the most popular canyons for exploring in Zion.  Due to it's popularity, the canyon is managed under a quota system by the park.  Permits are required and can be obtained at the Main or Kolob Canyon Visitors Centers or online at the Permit System Website.

Things to Do In St George Utah~The "Subway" in Zion National Park - 09/19/11 04:21 PM
My daughter is an avid canyoneer and loves exploring Zion National Park.  One of her favorite backcountry hikes is "Subway" in Zion. "Subway" is approximately a 9 mile hike, depending on where you begin your adventure. Climbing down boulders, ledges and waterfalls is all part of the fun.  There are several pools to swim in along the way as well as miles of ankle deep water to wade through.  This is one of the crystal clear pools you encounter on your hike, it's approximately 10 feet deep and adequate to dive into.

Apple Valley Utah is one of Washington County's newest towns.  Located in a small valley just 12 miles east of Hurricane Utah, this little community consists of approximately 300 homes.  I took this photo just outside of Apple Valley as the sun was setting which gave the mountain a red glow.

248 St George Utah Homes sold in the past month-
The average sales price for these homes was $183,835, although there were 2 homes sold in the $1,000,000+ price range.
Active listings are almost exactly the same as July, 2011 at 1778.  Sold listings increased by 14% over July- 218 homes sold in July while 248 homes sold in August.
Inventory is still high, interest rates are at record lows and opportunity abounds for purchasing a great deal in St George Utah!
