The Bank of Utah officials are now cautioning potential homebuyers and homeowners who want to refinance to check the license of their broker. Back in mid-December, the Utah Division of Real Estate sent a final alert to mortgage brokers to meet new federal SAFE Act requirements, which includes licensing with the federal Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) by year end. Brokers must also complete all testing and education requirements. Now that the deadline has passed, the NMLS data base is being compiled. According to a recent study conducted by the National Association of Home Builders, Americans are looking for change in the real estate market. The recession has left a mark on prospective buyers who have shifted their perspective on the housing they need and want. The builders who were surveyed expect the average home to be 2,150 square feet by 2015, which is about 10% smaller than the average size homes built in 2010.

According to the article, the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration has acquired SunCor Development Company of Arizona's interest in the Coral Canyon master planned community.
Coral Canyon, which is located in Washington County, Utah, is the premier master-planned community in St. George. The community currently boasts over 1,000 homes, exceptional amenities and an award-winning golf course.
