Here's something to think about...All of us independent contractors without 401k plans etc. try to come up with novel ways to save money for later...It could be Real Estate investments, cd's, savings bonds, collectibles etc...OR it could be stocks, bonds and mutual funds...That said, consider this....As the price of gas goes higher and higher, how many of us are shopping on-line rather than driving to stores and malls?...If we are doing this, how many of our friends and neighbors are doing the same thing?..Invest in the companys that encourage on-line shopping?...Will the ever growing on-line shopping numbers increase as gas prices … (3 comments)

Lebanon County Property Tax Rebates! - 05/02/08 12:25 PM
The Pennsylvania Department of Education has released the estimates of how gaming revenue from slots will affect how much property taxes will be reduced for homeowners in each school district in the County.  The breakdown is estimated as follows:
Annville-Cleona       $85.00
Cornwall-Lebanon    $127.00
Elco                       $86.00
Lebanon City          $401.00
Northern Lebanon   $140.00
Palmyra                $55.00
Each school district will determine the exact amount of relief that each property owner will receive after thay determine the 2008-09 property tax rates.
