Once you have found 10 properties take a qualified person, whether it is your Realtor, or a relative who is a contractor, or if you can pay a home inspector to look at the homes with you.  The first step really is to go through the homes with your Realtor, because you should narrow it down to 3 homes to make offers on. This afternoon I had a call from one of my past clients and she asked if I help people find foreclosures and short sales.  I want everybody to know that I do.  With 52% of the sales on the Grand Rapid Association of Realtors in March being foreclosures and short sales, I would be remiss if I didn't help buyers find great deals in foreclosures and short sales. 10,160, that is the number of Grand Rapids Single Family Homes for sale listed on the Grand Rapids MLS for sale with Grand Rapids Realtors. Just this morning I searched through over 1125 bank owned properties.  Unlike this sign depicts, the prices are not going up.  Over 450 homes are under $50,000, 275 are bank owned homes  Yes, these Grand Rapids Foreclosures need work, or rehab.  Yes they might  not be in prime locations, but we just sort through and find Grand Rapids Homes for Sale that will work for you. Now is the time, and Grand Rapids, MI is the place for your next investment home.

grand rapids foreclosures: Foreclosure crisis in Michigan? - 08/21/07 10:04 AM
What is going to change the level of foreclosures in Michigan? I have a strong opinion.  The State of Michigan should declare a moratorium on all foreclosures for 60 days and review each foreclosure on a case by case
 basis.  Does the bank really want the home?  What good does it do to displace people from their home?  Reviewing every case will determine if the home should just go back to the bank or if the current owners actually want to keep the home.  What are your opinions on the foreclosure crisis in Michigan?
