real estate: Asheville Area Real Estate - 05/18/09 08:02 AM

Things are looking up in Asheville.  Showings are increasing, houses are selling and the inventory is slightly down. Our hardest hit was from last June through February this year. Now we are seeing very encouraging signs. It won't go quite to normal this year, I don't think, but it is on its way back up and I hope next year will be back to normal. Now is a great time to buy while prices are still a little soft and sellers still nervous.

real estate: Western North Carolina - 02/09/09 08:39 PM
This is a continuation of information on the towns of Western North Carolina and their location. I will continue with Henderson County in the next installment. I want to give you an update on real estate in our area.

Later one Congressman said to another,  "That wasn't for Buncombe that was Buncombe."  It was soon shortened to "bunkum" and then to "bunk" meaning meaningless words.

real estate: Where are all those towns in Western North Carolina? - 01/21/09 02:45 PM
If you are interested in real estate in Western North Carolina, and if you don't live here, you probably want to know "How far is Black Mountain?""Where is Woodfin - it isn't on the map". The MLS I belong to is the North Carolina Mountains MLS and covers 5 counties with stray listings from several other counties.  It can be confusing to know where the listing is located in reference to Asheville or Hendersonville.
Here are the 5 counties covered and the "major" towns in each county.
Buncombe County          Asheville, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Arden, Candler, Fairview
Henderson County
     Hendersonville, Fletcher, … (0 comments)
