How to Dominate Facebook- Week 1 - 03/30/12 12:37 PM
How to Dominate Facebook Week 1 I hear over and over again how agents have a Facebook page and they have had it for a while and haven't received any leads or clients from Facebook. It is the same concept as a website…just because you have it doesn't mean it will automatically bring you business. You need to participate and take an active role in your Facebook page otherwise business won't come. The goal of marketing, including your Facebook page, is to make your audience remember you. You want people to automatically think of you when they think of (20 comments)
Congratulations! Your new Facebook Page Design is now live. - 03/23/12 04:56 PM
Yay, finally after thinking hard trying to figure out what to do for my cover picture I've decided and made my Facebook Page live with the new timeline design! I decided to use the cover picture as a billboard to show some of the ways I help agents as a real estate virtual assistant. As a real estate agent you may try to use the cover photo to showcase properties in your area. Have a nice photo of homes that represent the area and then have the name of your area, your name and something that sets you apart from other (12 comments)
Friday Fun: Home of the Week- Texas Style - 03/23/12 09:54 AM
Recently I wrote a blog for a client of mine about an auction that will take place at the end of this month on an amazing mansion in Texas named Champs d'Or. I happened to see that this week MSNBC had Champs d'Or as their featured home of the week. It is an amazing estate so I thought I would share it. Meaning Fields of Gold, Champs d'Or, was designed after a French estate and is over 49,000 square feet. With six bedrooms, ten bathrooms and many extreme ammenities one can easily get lost. Even before construction was completed the (4 comments)
Time For Spring Cleaning! - 03/20/12 09:51 AM
Spring is here! Happy Spring to everyone! When I think of spring I think of baby birds chirping, flowers blooming, warmer weather, longer sunny days and ohh yeah spring cleaning. Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. It is the perfect time to look at the year you have had so far. Are you on track to make it a great year? Have you met the goals you set for this point in the year? Are there things you need to change in your mindset or maybe you need to re-adjust your game plan? I mentioned Spring reminds me (12 comments)
New Housing Relief for Veterans and Service Members - 03/15/12 11:42 AM
New Housing Relief for Veterans and Service Members Do you know of military families that can’t sell their home because they are upside down on their mortgage? Many families that qualified took advantage of the Homeowner’s Assistance Program however those that bought their house after the qualification date of July 1, 2006 are still unable to sell their home because they owe more then it is worth. I came across this announcement on the HAP website. Since my husband is active duty we have a lot of friends in this position of owing more then they can sell for and they (3 comments)
How do you get the colored type on your blog? - 03/12/12 11:23 AM
How do you get the colored type on your blog? For those of you that use firefox here are directions of how do you get the colored type on your blog: I write my blogs in Microsoft Word because I can easily change colors, font styles and save my blog. I’ve read other blogs where people had concerns about loosing their blog while typing directly into ActiveRain so I suggest using Microsoft Word and that way you can continue to save your blog while you are working on it. After I am done writing, proofreading and adding style (color (8 comments)
Real Estate Agent Directory For Facebook - 03/09/12 02:26 PM
Real Estate Agent Directory For Facebook I came across a great Facebook page. It is titled Real Estate Agent Directory. There are all sorts of directories on different search engines and websites so why wouldn’t there be one for Facebook. I am sure there are a lot of others as well but since I found this one I thought I would share it, especially since it is the #1 app on Facebook that connects home buyers and sellers with Real Estate agents.
Using Real Estate Agent Directory consumers are able to search for agents based on location and (6 comments)
I started off today having breakfast with my husband since he was able to go in to work a little later then normal. I checked my phone and was pleasantly surprised to see that I had some agents from ActiveRain that asked me to contact them about helping them with their business. Wow how great! Then I started working and saw an e-mail from my old Broker with the subject “Agent Spotlight.” I thought oh maybe that is something new the office is doing that is fun. Well I opened his e-mail and he was congratulating (7 comments)
For this motivational Monday I have chosen a quote from Stephen Covey. He said "Effective people are not problem-minded; they're opportunity minded. They feed opportunities and starve problems."
I felt this quote was fitting as my post last week: Changes to Facebook Fan Pages brought up a few problems users might face when the changes take effect. The main problem users have talked about is that you will no longer have a default landing page or welcome page...visitors will land on your Facebook fan page wall.

Changes to Facebook Fan Pages - 03/01/12 12:56 PM
Changes to Facebook Fan Pages The developers of Facebook seem to like making changes to the platform. I am not sure their users are as excited as I normally see a lot of complaining when changes are made. Guess it goes back to my one post where I talked about how you need to embrace change…well get ready because changes to Facebook fan pages are about to take place. At the end of March all Facebook fan pages will be updated to the new timeline design. You may be familiar with this if you have it on your personal Facebook page (11 comments)
