I haven't been to the festival for the past few years. The last time I went, it was a much smaller event and the grounds were not groomed. There was great wine, but certainly not the FESTIVAL that I experienced this weekend. It was … (0 comments)

Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Las Cruces, New Mexico - 04/27/09 11:49 PM
Cinco de Mayo, which means "The 5th of May" in Spanish, is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. It is not, however, Mexico's Independence day, a common misconception, which is actually held on the 16th of September (Dieciséis de Septiembre). In 1861, Mexico had ceased making interest payments to its primary creditors and in retaliation France, along with other European countries, … (0 comments)

When is Earth Day 2009? April 22nd, 2009 kicks off Earth Day which was first officially celebrated in 1970, and marks the start of the modern environmental movement. But as the global warming crisis grows, no one can afford to limit their attention to our planet to just a single day. "I've looked at the early forecast and it's supposed to be 63 degrees (Fahrenheit), windy and a 40 percent chance of rain," Marlin said. "I'd recommend that people check the weather before coming."
Yearly tours of the U.S. historical landmark are … (0 comments)
