bus and public transportation: King Street Trolley for locals and tourists alike - 07/24/10 09:30 AM

For locals and tourists who want to explore Old Town Alexandria, the King Street Trolley would be the excellent way to do so.
The King Street Trolley travels back and forth from King Street Metro to the Potomac just near Torpedo Factory Art Center. With no charge and ability to stop anywhere along King Street, this trolley is simply highly efficient.

Anyone can start at the metro, drop by at a restaurant, then onwards to the waterfront. After a satisfying walk around Union and Lee Streets, the King Street Trolley will take you back to King Street metro.

You will see the schedules of trains arriving on the platform's electronic message signs.
If you are heading to Court House station from Ballston station, ride before 7 am. This is because 7am to 9am are the busiest times. In the afternoon, avoid riding after 5 pm until … (0 comments)

bus and public transportation: Tips for Yellow Line Commuters - 05/20/10 08:55 AM
In the morning, metro congestion starts to build up at 7:15 am from Crystal City station going to Pentagon station. The rush typically lasts until 9 am so as much as possible don't take the trains during these times.
If you will be coming from Gallery Pl-Chinatown station to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport station, don't add up to the crowd by not riding after 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm
