Located on the east bank of Little Hunting Creek, Stratford Landing provides a natural harbor getaway for boaters. The location’s quiet, small-town charm remains, but multi-million dollar estate homes have replaced fishing shacks of yesteryears. Despite this change, some homes still have piers and docks and most are located near waterfront, providing beautiful and relaxing views.
Although the last stop along Fort Hunt Road in Fairfax County, Stratford Landing does not fall behind in local attractions and activities. Near Stratford Landing, Fort Hunt Park offers a summer concert series and trails for riverside walks and bike rides. Fort Hunt Park consists of 105 acres located along the Potomac River in Fairfax County, Virginia, approximately 6 miles south of Old Town Alexandria. The Park is a part of the over 7,000 acres that make up the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The lands of Fort Hunt Park were originally a part of George Washington's personal farm and were became a military outpost and now serves as a picnic area and nature park.
