The Pie Social was a big hit with members of the Alexandria Fun with Friends group. Members pitched in to bring pies and a supporting cast of whipped cream, milk, coffee and teas. The group relaxed with a few games and chatted the evening away. I tried to taste them all but there were just too many and they were just too good. I definitely look forward to the next time around with this one.

This week I was in a condo selling for over a million dollars. It was a beautiful condominium home with excellent views, a state of the art kitchen and all the upgrades one might expect ... except the unit didn't have a washer and dryer.
Because my office is in River Towers, and we also serve Belle View, I often confront the question of a washer and dryer in the unit. (Neither River Towers nor Belle View have laundry in the unit.) Martha Washington serves houses and townhouses of Bucknell Manor, the adorable garden-style condos of Belle View, the scenic condos at River Towers, the manors and homes of Belle Haven and homes and families of Fort Hunt with a broad selection of books and media. This weekend I toured a number of condos with a client who was prequalified at around $200k. On her budget, she can afford a fixer-upper townhouse in a neighborhood like Bucknell Manor. She briefly considered the idea of buying a duplex townhouse. The idea of a duplex in a quiet 1950's neighborhood is quite appealing. The reality of owning that townhouse involves maintenance and upkeep that a young single gal probably wouldn't enjoy.
