my sa homes: Twitter overload, I love it!! - 03/31/09 10:08 PM
I signed on to Twitter a couple of months back, anything to get your San Antonio Realtor out there for the world. Well, relaxing with the family, my blackberry started flashing.... To my surprised I've received about 25+ followers on Twitter, out of no where!! I now have over 1,150 followers! Am I complaining, no. I'm loving it... maybe I'm Tweeting what the public wants to hear, I really hope that is the case. Twitter is fun, educational, and so very easy. I encourage you all to "Tweet" away and if you get the time, I'm @frankbailey. Follow me, I'll follow

my sa homes: Golf course review: Olympia Hills, Universal City, Tx - from your SA Realtor! - 01/22/09 06:35 PM
Had the opportunity to play a round of golf with some associates a few weeks back at Olympia Hills golf course in Universal city, Texas. Overall the course, even in the winter months, is in great condition! The greens were smooth and ran true. There are several blind shots that you need to be aware of off the tee (and I paid the price!!) The price was reasonable and the pace of play was great! I would venture to say this course is a different layout all together when the trees are fully leafed. The course is also surrounded by

my sa homes: 2009 San Antonio, Texas housing update - 01/12/09 11:40 PM
We had the privilege of having the NAR president in San Antonio telling us about the housing forecast for 2009. Good news is on the horizon! Housing is now more affordable than ever! Interest rates continue to break records with all time low recordings and housing with a median price range of 150k is in a 7 month supply. Now is definitely a time to be a first time home owner, or moving up to that dream home you always wanted. On that note, buyers are coming on board fast; so if you have a home to sell, this

my sa homes: Texas vets! - 12/18/08 09:52 PM
If you are, or know, or represent a Texas veteran, you may want to let them know of the great rates today!! If you are a vet, in Texas, with 30% or more disability, guess what? You can be eligible for an additional 1% less than the current rate when you buy a home!! It doesn't apply if you decide to refinance, but with the current interest rate where it is, it really is a great time to downsize or upgrade. With the buyers market and the interest rates and the additional entitlement of being a Texas vet with 30% or

my sa homes: San Antonio real estate, still growing strong - 12/12/08 11:08 PM
San Antonio's market is still the prime area to move and work. There's still a good supply of homes in the inventory but from the looks of things, houses are still moving. Builders are dropping prices on inventory homes just to get them off the books. Interest rates are at their lowest in years! A new home for the holidays or a new years treat! All the marks are lined up in the right place. One of the best news about a buyer's market is you don't have to buy a foreclosed home to get a really good deal. This is

my sa homes: The most important part of your business plan as a Realtor - 11/22/08 09:11 PM
Real estate is more than sending some listings, presenting listing presentations, and driving to and from homes of interest. Perhaps we as Realtors, need to explain this better. We are professionals, we are our profession. There's a valuable part of our business that we, and our clients, tend to overlook and we need to stop it now. That most valuable part is Time! In a "sales" business, we need to ensure we are one step ahead of time management and time wasters. The time you waste today doesn't come back in the long run. Your childs soccer game or musical recittal should

my sa homes: You don't own the home until the loan closes... - 11/19/08 10:11 PM
Home buyer; I know you're excited about the new home and I wrote something similar in the past about it, but I want to re-emphasis.... You don't know want to jeopardize the buying of your house during the loan process. When your Realtor and loan officer tell you not to make any major purchases until the loan is funded, we do it for you, really. There is always another time during the loan process when your credit and bank accounts are checked for verification, you have to have what you've offered in the contract. You having the money for the down-payment

my sa homes: Do you dress to look like a business person? Or are jeans your thing? - 08/27/08 11:14 PM
Getting in the real estate business, I decided I should dress the part. I love looking professional, and having my clients working with someone dressed the part. Do you make an effort to wear clothes that reflect you as a professional? If not, you should I even offer this advice to the "well established" brokers and agents. You look like a professional, people treat you as such. Doesn't take a whole lot of time to make the effort, so, make the effort. I like looking like a professional, and being the part. It's all part of the package.

my sa homes: Why I am a Realtor - 07/30/08 10:33 PM
I love the real estate industry; it has been a part of my life for over 80% of my life! My parents instilled the value of real estate to me growing up; owning several homes for property management and the one's we lived in. Now don't get me wrong, managing your own property isn't a cake walk, but it's rewarding both professionally and personally. From day one, my parents have always expressed the importance of hiring a professional real estate agent to ensure you get the best representation. I have followed that for over 30 years. I bought my first
