Amherst NH Market Update - November 2008 The October 2008 trend continues with the number of single family homes sold in November 2008 increasing from 4 (2007) to 7 in 2008. However, average selling prices continue to fall - in November 2007 ($432,500) to $408,143 in 2008. The average days on market (DOM) increased in November of 2008 as compared to 2007 from 89 to 117. The analysis - properties continue to sell if they are priced for the market. Indications are pointing towards a 10% reduction in average selling prices over 2007. This is an increase of 50% over 2007 in the number of transactions however the average selling price was 7% less during the same time period in 2007. Year to date, the number of homes sold in the Souhegan Valley is at 604 compared to 721. The average selling price is down 10% for the year.
