it is saturday and Fall has arrieved, cold mornings and evening and warm afternoons. Did I happen to mention I love Fall, colors are starting to popout in the landscape, Football has begun (MMMM wings and chips and salsa and that amber colored refreshment). I will be heading out for the UK game here in a few.

I recently have found a new marketting site merchant circle. it is free for the basic listing. Goodman phography is my local listing with merchant circle. check it out is is very easy to set up.

a friend of mine who owns and operates Four Seasons Taxidermy sent me an invitation. I have found this is a great way to get your information out to your local comunity.

i can sure tell the realty market has slowed, my realty photography has slowed and the virtual tours are no existant. but luckly i have had a a few HS seniors and baby portriats this past month. having the availability to have a Studio has been a great asset.

have a great weekend!

Where has the summer gone? It has been a almost 2 months since my last Blog on active rian. Between vacation and the kids getting ready for school and my full time job as a Firefighter i can rarely find time to blog.

My real tour virtual tours have not picked up at all. It seems that the economy has hit the virtual tour business pretty hard. I have had only 4 photo shoots for homes in the last 2 weeks, slow time here in Georgetown, KY. I will be giving a presentation to a committee tomorrow on how Real tour can help promote the rental rooms for the establishment.

I n the down time I have been working on my Photog business shooting an engagement and a baby photos as we ll as shooting the Cincinnati Bengals during training camp (for fun). I am still working on my new web site, Paul Goodman Photography and continue adding to my old site Goodman Photography.

I hope to start blogging again and stay with it.

I hope every one has had a wonderful summer so far. till the next time!

Paul

I am curenty working on a RTV virtual tour for a city owned building, the city rents it out for banquits and events. it is a fairly large property. we are hoping this will work to get more people to book. I have been having some issues do to the fact that the room is so large and the lighting is so poor and I dont have enough lighting. I will be working on it this week and presenting the tour to the cardome advisory committie. this is only my second tour, another Freebee.

I am finding that most of our realtors in the area have already sinded up with  person doing virtual tours, not real tour. but a slide show that acts as a tour. I have been pushing the tours but dont want to be to pushy. the firs tour i did turned out ok, however it was a home that had small rooms and some of the room looked distorted.

If any one has any ideas on how to conqure the compititon my ears are open. ha ha

I have realy enjoyed the real tour group Blog. found some great info. I have been slow at getting started with blogging i have been on vacation last week in wonderful Seattle, WA. I'll save that experiance for another blog.

I am curious to see what lighting techniques others are using if any. are you using soft boxes, open bulb and bouncing from behind, flash on camera or remote flash, may be perhaps your not using any at this time.

The first time out on my interior shoot i was having an issue with window blow out. I am trying to overcome this. I don't really want to pack in and set up a bunch of lighting but if that is what it takes I guess i better start packing them with me just in case. I have learned some techniques this week that I am going to try, but again need to pack some lighting.

How have you overcome the window blow out?

Goodman Photography started out as a stock photography business (firefighting and emergency services). I since have ventured in to Sporting events such as Volleyball and Equestrian events, portraits and home interiors. One of thereal estate agencies I have been shooting for asked if I did virtual tours so, I started my research which lead me to become a Real tour vision full service dealer. real tour has the best quality virtual tours on the market and pleased with the training and equipment. Two months in tomarketing the tours I have built my first tour for a client (freebie), Ransom Trace Georgetown, KY. Please feel free to comment  and give suggestions on my first tour.  I am currently working on  a  tour for our local community centre, Cardome. I currently have it set up as a training tour right now till i can get it right.

I am looking forward to learning from the RTV Blogers. Bloging is new to me, but willing to learn new things. I can see the wealth of knowledge in this group and will be picking your brain from time to time. I have so many questions I am not sure where to begin, guess I will save that for another Blog post.

Currently I am enrolled in the NYI of Photography and a Member of the Kentucky Professional Photographers Association. I am shooting with Nikon equipment, D300 with a D80 (back up) 12-28mm f/4 (for virtual tours) and 70-200mm f/2.8. My Photography and virtual tour buisness website is currently underconstruction Goodman Photography.

Till the next time,

Paul Goodman

Georgetown, KY

I was wondering if any one has done any tours for insurance companies? someone had thought that it would be a good idea to do the tours for insurance companies for inventory. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this.
