Goal Setting Crazies!!! - 01/28/08 02:11 AM
I set my goals fairly high each year and push to increase them annually. I reviewed my goals last week for 2008 and was a little taken aback. Our Dream Log Cabin - Footings & water seepage - 9/7/07 - 01/14/08 03:07 AM
Sometimes you have a major "hiccup" . . . and we definitely had one! The log cabin that we're building at Artesian Lakes in Romayor, Texas next to the Big Thicket in East Texas has been a learning experience since we decided that we wanted to build our second home. The workmen are digging out the square holes for concrete footings for the log cabin. Some of the square holes for the porch are 2.5 feet wide, while the others for the main cabin are 4 feet square. The size was determined by the engineers so that there will be enough strength to support

Our Log Cabin Dream Home - Foundation Layout - 9/4/07 - 01/14/08 01:47 AM
Our log cabin will be located in Romayer, Texas at Artesian Lakes near the Big Thicket of East Texas. Jim and I call our building site Zoller Point since it is on a point with the lake on a little more than two sides. This will be a second home for us. The site was leveled at an angle so that rain would runoff toward the lake. I insisted on keeping my little hill in the top right of the picture. Right now I have a bench up there so I can sit and watch what goes on. This area was cleared of underbrush

SECRET SHOPPER - WHO'S WATCHING YOU? - 01/06/08 02:48 AM
My oldest daughter is interning for a public relations company. Friday she was given some money from her company and asked to go shopping at a relatively new mall in the area. Her assignment was to report on each store concerning: How employees greeted her,Whether or not the employees were helpful and friendly,If the employees could answer questions about other stores in the mall,Employees product knowledge, and various other points that were important to the company and their client. She had to fill out a two page form/questionnaire on each store immediately after visiting it to turn into her company. I believe that her company
