Crystal Beach is such a wonderful place to live. I love taking time to walk down to the seashore and just sit and watch the birds while I relax and listen to the waves rolling slowly on shore.
Having grown up in the area, a large part of my life has been spent along the shore, listening to those waves and contemplating life. I really can't think of anything more relaxing to do.

While I do not attempt to copyright my photos and most of the people I know also don't, I found this article written by Myrl most interesting and wanted to share this with my fellow ActiveRainers. Constant News Coverage Negativity - And They Are SO WRONG! - STOP The Generalizations! - 12/28/11 10:11 AM
Constant News Coverage Negativity - And They Are SO WRONG! - STOP The Generalizations! This is something that REALLY drives me crazy since the general public looks to the news coverage on their television for facts on what is going on in our nation and in the housing market. Last night we had the evening news on and it was reported that the housing market is still declining and 2012 is going to be a horrible year, just as 2011 has been. WHAT? It was my personal BEST year since I have had my Realtor license! Therefore, I beg to differ (4 comments)

Christmas - A Time For Family - 12/27/11 10:30 AM

There are so many possibilities for blog posts during December that I do not think it is too much to ask for 6 blog posts during the month. The posts should all be localism posts, announcing events that are going on for and in your communities. This is a great complex and 2699 Seville Blvd is the only 8 floor building in the entire Seville Complex. The building is in the back of the complex and convenient to shopping as well as to Tampa International Airport and the Gulf Beaches.
Fantastic views of the park-like setting await you from the two large balconies in this second floor corner unit.
The clubhouse and pool complex with weight room and sauna is just a couple of minutes walk away!
Today Ronnie and I stopped there and purchased a couple of salt rock lamps, some handmade local soap and local honey. Some of these items are gifts for clients - I enjoy helping our local economy by purchasing items that were made here on our Gulf Coast.
From there we previewed a few homes for a client that is coming into town next week. It was a great day to do it since the sun was shining brightly and it was in the low 70's.

We lived in a little town just outside of Erlangen, in northern Bavaria, in a section of the country called Franken. Erlangen is a university town - I had worked on the university as a bilingual secretary in the Department of Organic Chemistry until my first child was born. I had many friends on the university and it was through them that I learned of something really wonderful that takes place in (0 comments)
Whale Watching Infographic - Humpback Whales on Maui - 12/06/11 01:14 PM
Looking for something out of the 'norm' for the holiday trip you wanted to take....check out Georgina's post on humpback whales........imagine travelling to Maui and getting to see a real humpback whale! I have never seen one and IF I had a bucket list, this would surely be on it! Via Georgina M. Hunter R(S) e-Pro Maui Real Estate Sales (Jim Sanders Realty Inc. - Maui): Whale Watching Infographic - Humpback Whales on Maui Every year the humpback whales come to Maui for the winter season, much like many people who live in the colder climates. Most of the dried fruit comes from the health food store but a few things are from Publix. The dried fruits are figs, dates, pineapple, mango and papaya. This gives it a typical tropical flavor which I think is great for Florida! In Germany they use dry pears, apples, plums, raisins - so consider this Schwaebisches Schnitzbrot with a tropical flare!
All the fruit is cut into SMALL pieces - an example of how small I mean is that I take each dried fig, cut off the stem and then (4 comments)
The Youth Guild sold tickets for the tour ($20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour). These funds are used to help students with scholarships. Last year $15000 was donated in the form of scholarships to graduating high school students!
On the tour this year were 5 homes and the 125 year old Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. The Crystal Beach home of Pat and Marty Pehl was on the tour. Built in 1910, this home is one of the homes (2 comments)
The event is taking place from 10 am to 4 pm each day at the Crystal Beach Community Center on Crystal Beach Avenue in Crystal Beach Florida.
Be sure to stop by and see the local talent. This is also a great place to pick up a couple of handmade gifts for the holiday season!
Lagerheads Grill In Tarpon Springs Florida - 12/03/11 09:45 AM
Lagerheads Grill in Tarpon Springs Florida was our destination for lunch today. It was one of those days when you just feel like eatting out and Lagerheads just re-opened and changed their name from Snookers.
They still have the gator tank out back where you can see live Florida alligators up close and personal but our destination was lunch.
I had the filet mignon and Ron had the roast beef. Both were excellent as was the salad. If you have not tried Lagerheads on Alternate 19 in Tarpon Springs since it re-opened, it is worth a trip.

Ron and I decided to have lunch out today and had heard that the Tarpon Turtle had re-opened under new management so we drove over to Lake Tarpon to check it out. Located directly on Lake Tarpon, the Tarpon Turtle has always been one of my personal local spots! The views are fantastic and if you are out boating on the lake, you can dock right at the restaurant and have your lunch or drinks before getting back in your boat.

December's Season Of Celebrations & Sharing Contest - 12/01/11 07:22 AM
December’s Season of Celebrations & Sharing Contest is a time to not only get out local information on what is going on in your communities but also share on how you and others are sharing with those less fortunate. There are so many possibilities for blog posts during December that I do not think it is too much to ask for 6 blog posts during the month. The posts should all be localism posts, announcing events that are going on for and in your communities. Please remember that these events need to be related to the Season of Celebrations & Sharing, (218 comments)
