belleair fl localism: Our Majestic Live Oak Trees - 12/21/10 06:37 PM

There is hardly anything on this planet as beautiful as our majestic Live Oak trees. If they could tell tales of what they have observed, imagine what these wise looking old trees would say!

The trees photographed here are located on a hill overlooking Clearwater Bay in the town of Belleair. There was a time, when they were saplings, that the area had scattered small fishing shacks. Today some of the most expensive, largest luxury homes in the area are located here. These trees have witnessed the changes that have taken place. belleair fl localism: Belleair Florida Homes Decorated For Christmas - 12/15/10 03:31 PM

While out and about running errands and meeting with a client I was driving through Belleair, Florida (just a little south of Clearwater) and could not resist taking a few photos of the homes that are decorated for the Christmas Holidays!

This wall runs the entire block and is covered by the most beautiful bouganvillas, all in full bloom.

While I could not get a good shot of the house, this is the front of the house in the first photo. Even their entrance gates are decorated for the season.

belleair fl localism: Attempting To Find The Right Colors - Opinions Wanted! - 10/27/10 04:25 PM

I have been driving around taking photos of homes that remind me of the Mediterranean. My clients are attempting to decide on exterior colors and I think going with Mediterranean colors would be wonderful since the barrel tile roof will be terra cotta.

While the home in question is not as large as this one, I do love the contrasting color combinations! And since we live in a sub-tropical climate zone, warmer colors just seem extremely inviting!
