Indeed, I hope your weekend is as beautiful as this photo, taken this morning near our Crystal Beach Florida fishing pier.
Our local temperatures will be in the high 80's this weekend and that is perfect weather for planting the Fall veggies in the garden.
Down here in Central and South Florida, you have several growing seasons. Right now we are planting to harvest when the freezes come (if they come this year) around the end of January. It is true, we are suffering through another sun-filled day here on the Gulf Coast in Crystal Beach Florida.
Life can be hard when you have to deal with the sparkling waters off our coast and add to that the sunshine and blue skies.
My favorite past-time pleasure is long quiet strolls along the shore at dawn or dusk, watching the tropical birds hunting for a meal and the dragonflies darting around. Yes, life is good!

Allamanda flowers do indeed love Crystal Beach Florida and right now they are in full bloom!
The allamanda grows throughout the Caribbean and is a native in both Central and South America. This beautiful plant is known for it's medicinal properties but if you have one in your garden, be careful not to get any of the sap on your body as it can cause blisters, rashes and it can cause you to itch. Wearing gardening gloves naturally reduces this risk but care is needed when trimming your allamanda.

Crystal Beach Florida does NOT have a public doggie beach and the local authorities are cooperating with our community in getting the word out.
Unfortunately, some Realtors have actually posted in their multiple listing comments that Crystal Beach has a public doggie beach and people from neighboring communities can come here and let their dogs run freely along the beach and in Live Oak Park. That is NOT the case and both the Sheriff's Department and Animal Control have been patrolling our beaches (at the request of Crystal Beach residents) to enforce this.

Here comes the rain over Crystal Beach Florida indeed!
When I first got up this morning and opened the balcony sliders, I noticed beautiful pink clouds over the Gulf of Mexico. That was enough for me to get out right away for my morning walk and I am so glad I did since it started sprinkling before I got home again. It is now pouring and looks like it is going to all morning.

Crystal Beach Florida is just the greatest place on earth to live! A prime example is this adorable little flower bed that a neighbor has in their yard! I love ideas like this so much.
Naturally, it wouldn't be a seaside community without the typical island directional signs, telling you where to go and how far away various locations are. These are just a few of the things that I love about living here in little Crystal Beach Florida!
This is truly a seaside Paradise, secretly tucked into a corner of Northern Pinellas County!

The sun was setting over the Gulf of Mexico as I was taking an evening walk here in Crystal Beach Florida last night and I had to take a couple of photos to share.
Life here along the Gulf of Mexico is so beautiful and the shore birds add a tropical flare to the photos.
These are examples of why I love living here in Crystal Beach Florida. The seashore is only two blocks from my front door. It doesn't get much better than that, so I can wake walks down there whenever I want.

Live Oak Trees are amazing! They are one of my favorite trees and trees have always had a special place in my heart.
I have always thought how wonderful it would be if they could communicate with us all of the events they have witnessed through the decades. Imagine what has transpired that they have silently observed. Wouldn't it be magnificent if we could learn from the trees.
Perhaps the Live Oak trees are a favorite of mine because of the way they reach out in various directions, like human limbs contorting to express themselves.

Crystal Beach Florida is where I live and play in the Florida sun and it is also home to Live Oak Park! Live Oak Park is located right next to the shore of St Joseph's Sound, which leads out to the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Also across the street from Live Oak Park is our fishing pier, which is a favorite spot for the school kids to hang out and catch fish when not in school.

Yes, today is going to be a stormy day over Crystal Beach Florida. We got in a two-plus mile walk early, getting home just as the rain drops started falling. The thunder is rolling off in the distance to the north of us and over the Gulf of Mexico. I am sure lightening will be coming our way before long, so we stayed close to home during our walk. Better to be safe than sorry.

Not only is the weather fantastic, but while I was out for my 3.58 mile walk this morning, I passed to young men that made me proud to be an American!
