New Reasons To Blog

 

In the beginningI must admit, I got off to a slow start on Active Rain. Initially all I wanted was for someone to comment on what a wrote. Then I started picking up speed and I became addicted to points. First 10,000 points so my photo would show up in comments. Then 100,000 points so I'd have the little icon under my photo.

I was not a Rainmaker at first. I wanted to try my blogging wings before I made the commitment to actually spend money on my new "hobby".

 

 

When I hit 500,000 points I thought my blogging would be less frequent. It was at first because I was recovering from surgery. Now I've found new reasons to blog. 

Here and NowI'm climbing the ActiveRain leaderboard. I've been #1 in the Town of Parker, Colorado for some time. Recently, I made it to #1 in Douglas County! I've been working hard to be sure I've got some distance between me and #2 so that I can hold the #1 spot! I'm currently #7 in the State of Colorado and I'm chasing my friend who is in the #6 spot.

My phone is ringing! That's right! I've been blogging about HUD homes since...and recently we've had to buyer leaders that found us via my blog and Active Rain! :-) We have closed on one purchase and have another scheduled for June! Of course, I plan to continue to blog about HUD homes!

Rich and I are starting a new niche...working with Seniors. Rich has his SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation and he's working on getting his CSHP (Certified Senior Housing Professional) certification. We've been networking with other professionals that provide services to Senior and I'll be blogging more about these services, organizations and resources.

Blogging is a great way to share your Unique Value Proproposition with consumers and it's something that I enjoy. By the way, I'm half way to 600,000 points and I'm not planning to slow down any time soon! :-)
