Yet another Study came across my desk that backs up the NAR and CAR (California) studies.
In this most recent survey, 90% of buyers wanted clear Photos. this makes sense - however why do some not want photos? The Second most desired online content was FloorPlans at 70%, third was Photo Slideshow at 50%.
Because we are in the floorplan and photo business, we've been tracking this for the last 5 years. The percent of buyers that desire floorplans online continues to climb, and photo slide-shows has dipped a bit recently. Photos have and willl remain the most important untill high … (1 comments)

RE Barcamp San Francisco 2008 was a blast - however I was not able to take part in the whole day, as my flight came in from KC, then LA around 1pm. The location was easy to find, the Zebra greeted me at the door and handed me a cool RBC badge and a t-shirt. Drinks and lunch were provided, however I was late to the show, so cant tell you what was in the box lunches.

Ok, I'm in tears. I'm pretty sure they are from laughter but I think some might be truth tears - as in the truth about agents hurts due to the link below.
The line that got to me was "I dont care about your Dog, how many homes did he sell last year?" I think the piece points out that agents have been selling themself's and their product (homes) short. -Most agents need to step up the way they handle their marketing if they want todays buyer to respond. Buyers and sellers want more info about listings, not your dog.

Ok, so I don't read printed materials often - But I heard a rumor that this book has some great info on cool trends in real etate marketing. It was just released on Nov 2nd - so hot off the press!
I would guess that it would fit in a fellow agents stocking - and since the market is a "bit slow" perhaps it has freed up some time for you to read. As of this morning, there are no reviews on Amazon.
From my friends email it sounds like a good cook book for todays market. I just ordered my copy.

I've tried several types, and searched multiple words, but searching for good Home Tours on You Tube seems to be You-Sless. Tours are jumpy, bumpy and grainy. Frequently music is way overbearing. I have not found good organization at all nor any consistency. The best part, is when the camera shows you the kitchen, and agents who like to hear themselves talk tell you "this is the kitchen". As it is now, it doesn't look like You Tube will be a strong real-estate search destination. Will the tides change?
But who can resist spending some time checking out other fun stuff like the God Inc, and the evolution … (6 comments)
