First, there are two horticulture and gardening classes:

If you're looking for a way to spend a lovely afternoon, plus hear some entertaining, timeless music, then plan to be at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge on Saturday, March 21st. Imagine: The Beatles Tribute Band will be performing at 1 pm to kick off the Spring Show at Descanso Gardens. Attendance is free with paid admission. And, you can bring blankets and picnics (which are not normally not allowed).

An annual tradition in La Cañada Flintridge, the blooming of the camellias at Descanso Gardens is a site to behold! According to the Descanso Gardens website "Descanso Gardens is home to the largest camellia collection in North America and consists of more than 34,000 plants. Descanso's Camellia Forest has both rare and familiar camellias and has been designated a Garden of Excellence by the International Camellia Society."January and February are the best months for camellia viewing.
