crescent city ca business guide: Crescent City/Del Norte County Walgreens is Coming & Other Bldng Projects - 04/12/08 10:29 AM
Crescent City is getting a Walgreens -Some Del Norte County residents may have noticed that Sunshine Cleaners is gone and that the lots adjacent to it have been cleared and fenced. Construction is finally forging ahead on the new Walgreens. This project, along with Matt Fearing's renovation of the Square Deal building and last years renovation of the Verizon building are sprucing up the 101 corridor in our town. I also should mention thatour Starbucks (yes, we only have one) is open with US Cellular sharing that building. It is very encouraging that in an economy that is receding, big business sees Del

crescent city ca business guide: Ford Foundation Invites Del Norte County to Submit Concept Paper - 01/30/08 10:48 PM
Ford Foundation invites Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce to submit a concept paper to begin investment discussion - Del Norte County is a happening place. There is a lot to love about Del Norte County, the towering redwoods, our national and state parks, the only undammed river in California teaming with stealhead, the Pacific Ocean, the list goes on and on. Del Norte County has steadily been catching the attention of large enterprises such as Starbucks, Home Depot, Walgreens, and now add the Ford Foundation to that list. Reweti Wiki, Executive Director of the Del Norte/Crescent City Chamber of Commerce reported today that the

crescent city ca business guide: Del Norte County Business News - Square Deal Renovation and Starbuck's - 11/06/07 04:50 PM
Square Deal Building Gets a Needed Facelift The Square Deal Building located on Highway 101 South in the heart of Crescent City, in my opinion, the greatest source of blight in Del Norte County, has been recently purchased by local businessman, Matt Fearing, who is giving it a much needed facelift. Fearing anticipates the renovation to be done by June 1st of 2008 and the new retail shops ready for occupancy at that time. Along with the renovations to the building, the new owner is landscaping and putting in a new parking lot. Fearing is vague on what retailer's will be moving

crescent city ca business guide: Home Depot & Starbucks Come to Crescent City - 10/05/07 01:52 PM
You know you live in a small town when getting a Starbuck's is a really big deal. Yep, Crescent City is a happening place. Last October we had the grand opening of our Home Depot and this October we broke ground on a Starbuck's. The Starbuck's building is also going to house U.S. Cellular according to the worker's that I interviewed. I have also heard scuttlebutt that Crescent City is getting a Walgreen's. Wow! How exciting is that? I guess the big corporations have found that Del Norte County is worthy of investing their resources. As exciting as the Home Depot grand opening and Starbuck's building

crescent city ca business guide: Crescent City Restaurant Guide - Surfside Grill and Brewery - 07/17/07 11:34 PM
Surfside Grill and Brewery400 Front StreetCrescent City, CA 95531707-464-7962MAP Across from beachfront park in Crescent City, you will find the Surfside Grill and Brewery for your lunch and dinner dining pleasure. The bar serves up micro-brewery beer on tap as well as wine. A room is available for parties and an outside patio for your enjoyment when the weather is warm. The restaurant was originally a brewery but has ceased brewing beer and has turned the brewery space into retail shops that are currently looking for tenants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For lunch, I highly recommend the tuna melt with seasoned fries or the Cobb salad. crescent city ca business guide: I Like Living in Crescent City, CA - 06/10/07 01:42 PM
I like living in Crescent City, CA. Why, you might ask? COMMUNITY TOUR I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, which had it's advantages. I went to pro sporting events, the Day On The Green Concerts by Bill Graham, shopped 'til I dropped, and had many, many restaurant choices. There are no pro sporting events in Del Norte County, but the Del Norte Warriors football team, who went to 3rd round North Coast Section 2A League this year, has a packed stadium for every game. We do not have major artists and large concerts here, but we have an excellent

crescent city ca business guide: Del Norte County/Crescent City Business News - 02/23/07 11:34 AM
Here's what's going on today - I wandered across Northcrest Drive yesterday to the old Northridge Electric building to see what's going on. There has been a number of local contractors coming and going for a few weeks and my curiosity finally overcame me, yes it took two weeks. So, I drove across the street, parked my car, went in and checked it out.Renovating for new business - There is a huge room full of gym equipment with locker rooms going in this week. Yes, a new gym. All the equipment from Ramblin' Rose was purchased and moved to this location.
