Here are a few suggestions for buyers and their agents looking to purchase a Del Norte County foreclosure.
I have been working with many different banks and asset managers over the last few years and there seems to be a few common threads in this process:

Foreclosure Listings with Out of Area Agents - Is this good Customer Service? No.
My client called and asked to see a new foreclosure listing.  I said I would meet her there in one hour. She asked for directions. She said she had driven up and down the street named in the listing but could not find the home.  I thought that was funny and gave her pretty clear directions on how to find the house.  When we met, I understood the problem.

There are currently 12 foreclosure listings and 12 short sale listing in Del Norte County. Today almost every one of the REO (foreclosure) listings did a price reduction.  Yes, prices are dropping and there are some good deals to be had.
