Cashton WI Refinance Story: Keegan and Peggy Keegan and Peggy, a fantastic couple, wanted to save money with their Cashton WI refinance mortgage. FHA UNDERWRITING UPDATE - DISPUTED AND COLLECTION ACCOUNTS - 04/13/12 11:35 AM
The Mortgagee Letter 2012-03 (ML 2012-03) created new limits on collections and disputed accounts on applicants credit reports.  FHA caps collections and disputed accounts to $1000. This was going to take effect however FHA decided to look into the long-term affect it would have on its business. So, the new effective date for this section is now July 1, 2012. This will give FHA time to clarify appropriate guidance.
