Home Sales in the Montgomery County area went way up over the last month due to home buyers taking advantage of historically low interest rates. Just in the month of August, sales increased almost 36 % from August 2010, a total of 172 more homes sold this year.

Everyday is a new day with the economic stimulus package. I think most of us are fairly confused by the whole thing are just sitting tight to see what really comes of it. I am personally interested in the bill that is specific towards homebuyers with down payment assistance.
On Jan. 15, the House Democratic leadership outlined an economic stimulus package ranging from health care issues to home buyer credits. A credit for home buying could bring a relief to the lending markets and the real estate markets which would ultimately boost the national home sales woes.

Yesterday myself and team mate Jay Mac Sanders attended our very last HAR/TAR Leadership class. We were invited to the Houston Port Authority where we were briefed on the incredible import and export business of Houston. If you want to know how our local economy is, visiting the ports of Houston is an eye opener! According to the number of imports and exports coming in and out of Houston, our local economy is doing very well.
