I just finished watching Dave Linegar on RSN and was amazed at some of the things he discussed. According to NAR;
In 1999 there were 900,000 agents
In 2006 there were 1.4 million agents
In 2008 there were 1.2 million agents
Dave thinks that current number is closer to 1.1 million agents
1/3 of today's licensed agents have been licensed less than 2 years
2/3 of today's licensed agents have been licensed less than 5 years
In 2007 400,000 licensed Realtors did not make a commission.

Well my friends I did it. I hired a Virtual Assistant who lives 500 miles away from me. She has over 5 years experience and will handle these tasks. Web Site updating, all web site leads, including Lead-street. She will also do all drip e-mail campaigns, post all on line ads on various sites, plus provide a daily list of expireds in my area that fit my criteria. While in Atlanta at the RE/MAX Convention I attended the Clicks to Closes class given by Mike Russer, you all know him as Mr. Internet a monthly contributing columnist in the NAR Magazine. Mike speaks about the advantages of hiring a Virtual Assistant and some of the advantages to working with a VA.

What a week!! It was great meeting a few of the Active Rain RE/MAX group at our little get together at Champs inside the Marriott. We really got to know a couple of Agents from other parts of the country and have really developed a potential referral magnet for one another.
The drive down was uneventful until our GPS went down about 6 blocks from the Hotel and we drove around in circles for about an hour but we got there. Our room was awesome! Located on the 18th floor overlooking the Atlanta City building was really nice to look at. … (3 comments)

 Laurie and I left St. Louis Saturday morning around 7 AM and arrived in downtown Atlanta at around 6 PM local time and then it happened! My trusty GPS went blitso and had us driving in circles. We got stuck in some kind of concert traffic, it was horrible. After 9 hours in the car stopping for gas and quick food we were ready to get out of the car. We could see the Marriott but we couldn't get to it. We also ended up at a different Marriott in downtown Atlanta.
