What Is Included in My Franklin, MA Home Purchase? - 06/10/10 02:48 PM
What is typically included when you purchase a Franklin, MA home?  Both buyers are sellers need to be aware of what is legally included and excluded from the home sale.
I had a few situations over the years in which a seller mistakenly removed an item from the home and had to sheepishly return it to the new owner.  Most recently the seller removed a bolted wooden medicine cabinet from the bathroom believing that although they knew this item was bolted on, they were entitled to take it because they had installed it many years before.
The law of fixtures helps … (0 comments)

What could be the most important thing in your Franklin, MA home?  Of course, your family including your pets are the top priority but as far as one item that will track all aspects of your home--the home journal is it!

Massachusetts Homeowners' Insurance Required - 06/01/10 12:54 PM
When purchasing a home, you will need to acquire homeowners insurance. In fact, all lenders will require a policy be in force prior to funding the loan. Make sure you have enough coverage, should anything happen. Policies refer to "replacement costs" that may not cover everything.
You should ask your insurance agent a lot of "what if" questions. The deductible amount also plays a big part in setting your premium. Higher deductibles lower the number of claims, and reduce your insurance costs.
Check with your insurance agent for more information on these issues, and any others. If you don't have an … (0 comments)
