Not All Listings are Worth Having It seems that being a real estate agent is fraught with adversity. Maybe this is true of any job that deals with large sums of money exchanging hands. Whatever the reason, I have had my fair share of adversity through various real estate transactions. The worst occurred a couple of years ago. If a Real Estate Brokerage Can Go Paperless, Then Why Can't I? Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a recycle fanatic. I have made a concerted effort for many years to cut down on the amount of paper that comes into my life. Several years ago, I went to on-line banking and bill paying. The only bills I receive in the mail are my water and electric. They are the only companies in my life that haven't gone entirely paperless yet. It's hard to believe that we are three-quarters through 2012. Some great things are happening in the Franklin TN real estate market. Usually as we enter the fall months, things begin to slow down. That hasn't been the case this year. I suspect that if interest rates continue to remain low, we will have a good selling season for the remainder of 2012 and into 2013. Now is not the time to lose momentum.

How to Prove Gas Fireplace Logs are in Good Working Condition Several months ago, I had a listing that had a Temco Ventless Fireplace. The fireplace had once been connected to an exterior propane tank. However, the seller had disconnected and removed the tank several years ago. The buyer wanted to test the fireplace logs during the home inspection but since it was no longer connected to propane, I suggested the home inspector bring a 20-lb propane tank with him to test the fireplace logs.
