As my young apprentice is learning patience and cooler heads will bring you cash! Let me introduce to the AR community John Walters. John in the month of July 07; John as two closings, purchase a 4 Plex (first rental property) and hopefully should close a call off a yard sign today. In addition, this new guy is in the top five in the State of Louisiana for Active Rain members. Just so you know John only been in the business about 4 months.

Cubs Win Again Now half a game behind - 07/30/07 10:03 AM

The Cub's are with in a half game of the leader the Milwaukee Brewers. This last weekend the Cubs face the Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs took two out of three. The lost was a one run lost at that. The Cubs are 55 - 48 and in Second place in the NL Central Standings. Carlos Zamrano was the winning pitcher again. This was Zamrano 14th win.

When visiting New Orleans plan on spending some time in the City of Kenner. Kenner, La. is located a few minutes outside of New Orleans. Located near the Mississippi River is an area call Rivertown. There are many attractions from cultural to family attractions alike. A local favorite is the Mardi Gras Museum.
This museum provides the history to Mardi Gras. It is highlighted by videos and a Mardi Gras Float.

Are you really ready for football? Yesterday, took the kids to the Black and Gold shop. I thought I was beating the rush. Wrong! The place for the local fans of the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers and Tulane, had a nice crowd. Many things sold out. We bought shirts, posters and even a trash can. The only thing I couldn't score was season tickets. What are your favorite things to wear on game day? I think I am ready now, my new Saints room painted black and Gold and new flat panel should be ready for opening day.

Great inspiration and thoughts of how to succeed in any organization. New Orleans Saint signs Robert Meachem, their top draft pick to a five year contract. The 27th overall pick in this year draft. The estimate for Meachem's deal with incentives is appx. 11 Million and 5.7 Million is guaranteed. Robert Meachem will try to replace Joe Horn who is now with the Atlanta Falcon. Held an Open House 1 -3 today at 1108 Mississippi Ave. The weather was very nice and HOT. Had two visitors. One from the newspaper ads and the other someone I had talk to a few weeks back. The consumers were very friendly. I feel both like the house but it just not the one. How was your open house?
I have another open house (4-6) schedule for my listing in Sugar Lane Estates.

I met with Harmon Home rep. on recently. It appears that the Harmon Homes can provide a good deal of exposure. Has anyone use this service or is using Harmon Homes for marketing. They will include a online present as well as a monthly publication. The cost is about $500 a month. This includes the full page ad in the hard copy publication. Any feedback is appreciated.

Recently, my wife and I took a ride to St. Bernard Parish to visit a small furniture store called Hamilton Enterprises Imports, Inc. The store front is located in a warehouse. It is filled with furniture to include Refrigerators, washer and dryer, sofa and bedroom sets. Now keep in mind this was not the location they had been for years. Hurricane Katrina has placed them in this location.

New Orleans Zephyrs this weekend are playing the Iowa Cubs. The Zephyrs record is 47-42.The Zephyrs who belong to the Pacific Coast League (PCL) American South. The Z's are currently in first place in the South.
The 2007 Triple-A All Star Game will be played in Isotopes Park, Albuquerque, NM. On July 11. The Zephyrs will return to New Orleans July 12. Game @ 7 PM. For more information go to the Zephyrs web site New Orleans Zephyrs

Well the Cubs won tonight's game. They beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-1. The real news came from Milwaukee. The Brewers lost to the Washington Nationals 5-4. This lost bring the Chicago Cubs to with in 4.5 games of the lead in the NL Central. The Cubs will play the Pirates at 1:35 EDT.

The City of Gretna offer many unique features. One of the many features offer to the resident of Gretna is Mel Ott Park. The park always seems to have activity. In the evenings little league baseball are playing games on the baseball diamond. Thought out the day there are always walkers walking. I noticed there are several bench and trees to rest. The walking path appears to be a quarter mile loop.

Is the quality of Real Estate Agents slipping?
I am finding a large amount of agents not pushing to close deals. In the real estate business for over twenty years and personally as an investor I think we are seeing a new type of agent evolving. Gone are the days of returning calls and given out business cards.
First of all, agents do not like to give out their business cards. More times than not I find myself asking for a business card after I have given my business card. I was taught when you give something you expect to receive something. Think … (14 comments)

June 14. The United States, we celebrate on June 14th the adoption of the flag of the United States. National Flag Day is not a federal Holiday. Many cities will actual hold a Flag Day parade. Last night while out driving, I saw two great fireworks displays. One was at the Lake Front in Kenner, La. The City of Kenner put on a great fireworks display that lasted 20 minutes appx.
The second fireworks display, was near my home in Destrehan, La. The display was fired from the Mississippi River levee near the Luling Bridge.
While sitting with my children, I explained what the 4th of July was about. I told them in any other country in the world we were the only ones truly free. I have several businesses that I own and if … (7 comments)
