This morning we conducted another inspection in Lakeview. Lakeview is gaining traction and appears to be holding value. Pricing is the key to any successful listing become a close transaction. Condition is also important. The condition must meet the price point. Don't expect your property to close in a reasonable amount of time if you did not bother to meet minimal standards.
Bottom line here, this morning inspection did produce some minor issues. They will be address and should not stop a closing from occurring in the next 30 days.

That is what I am calling Monday November 30th. We have several closing on that day. Several first time home buyers have taken advantage of the Tax Credit. Many have not. My real concern is that the upcoming holiday may throw off someone closing.
If you did not take advantage of this tax saving not to worry a new plan is in place. Not as good in some measure but there is always a BUT. The (but) includes repeat home buyers.

My weekend started sitting in the rain, watching high school football. Jesuit v. Holy Cross. It was not pretty but enjoyable none the same.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to watch the Mich v ND game. It was a good one. LSU v.Vandy, I watched this on as well. LSU pulled out a victory although I had my doubts but I will take it. Ohio v USC a great game as billed. .

New Orleans is still on the comeback trail from Hurricane Katrina. According to City Business, New Orleans LA has been given the Southern Business and Development's Major Market of the Year designation.
One reason for the designation is the Federal City project. It will generate appx. 748 jobs and invest in the neighborhood of 110 million dollars. This award shows New Orleans return and rebuilding efforts since Hurricane Katrina. A lot of work still needs to be done but is getting down.

I have found preparing my paper work in this fashion speeds up my year end. This will also save you time for 2009 tax prep. So sit back and enjoy the LSU baseball championship and gets some not so fun work done.
