Unexpected Surprise Close To One Of Al Capones Hangouts - 10/29/07 10:08 AM
My wonderful husband and I went on a little adventure yesterday to Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Home to the historic Elms Hotel which is a Legend of America.
As the story has been told in 1880 Indians and hunters told a man who had a daughter with tuberculosis that the natural springs in Excelsior Springs had amazing healing powers.  The man decided to try it and after just a few weeks of bathing in the spring and drinking it's water she was miraculously cured.
During the prohibition years it was a hang out for the likes of Al Capone and other gangsters.

Antibiotic-Resistant Staph Infection Discovered in Kansas City - 10/28/07 05:09 PM
Initially the Staph Infection started out in Kansas, but it didn't take it long to jump the river and hit the Northland.
Wednesday a Fox Hill Elementary student was confirmed with having the staph infection.
North Kansas City school officials say the most recent case poses little threat and the student has been allowed to keep attending school.
Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA can be life threatening.  The biggest preventative is to WASH YOUR HANDS!

I was playing around with OneTrueMedia.com and thought, "Well it's close to Halloween, why not kick up my hills and do something a little silly."
Now I've been known for doing many silly things in my time and I'd never deny that. (Boy could my girlfriends tell you the stories)
But anyway, here's a little number that I jazzed up mostly with the graphics you can customize from ImageChef.com

Unite! - 10/15/07 01:08 PM
I read the  ... it's a Norwegian paper.
Former Vice President Al Gore said that global warming is not a political issue but yet a worldwide crisis... and it is.  He's donating his Prize money of approximately 1.8 million to the Alliance for Climate Protection.
What a statement!  We should all step forward and do our part to help out in this crisis.
Sit and think a moment about what you could do, even in a small way to make a difference.
Today is Blog Action Day... let's all take action.

How To Make Lemonade Out Of Lemons - 10/03/07 09:24 PM
Meet Lola... well her name really isn't Lola, it's Dolores, but I have permission to call her Lola.Lola is a dear friend of mine - we worked together in television. In 2004, Lola was diagnosed with breast cancer. With her son and husband to care for she wasn't quite sure how she was going to manage. Friends and family were eager to help with meals, car-pooling and housekeeping.Keep everything straight on who was coming when and to do what was taxing - this normally vivacious, beautiful, spunky gal didn't need one more thing to keep track of while trying to concentrate on healing.Being … (11 comments)
