Yes, today I'm not proud to be a Kansas Citian, or perhaps I should rephrase that... Today I'm not proud of a few Kansas Citian's. I rephrased that because what I'm about to explain is NOT the way I do business and I do not approve of the recently uncovered mortgage fraud schemes.
Yes today a Kansas City councilwoman was one of three individuals indicted by a general grand jury for alleged roles in a scheme to perform mortgage fraud.

I have subscribed to this site and get occasional emails from them with success stories.
If my Kansas City Real Estate clients raise this as a concern I recommend that they do a search on the site themselves, it's extremely user friendly and informational!

Today I received an email from an agent in Arizona. (not yet an AR member but I intend to invite him) He told me he had a referral that he wanted to send me.
When I found out where it was I told him that Kimberling City, Missouri is about three and a half hours from me and was closer to Branson.
I told this AZ realtor that I would be glad to refer him to someone from my preferred network of realtors if he was interested. He was interested!

This is serious! If a buyer walks in a home that smells they can immediately be turned off and leave. I've seen this happen even if the home fits their needs perfectly!
With the movement towards a "smoke-free America" more and more buyers are turned off by the left over smell of stale cigarettes.
If you are selling and you'd walk a mile for a camel - think about your potential buyers and bring in a company to professionally refresh your home.

Next year the Kansas City Zoo will have two visitors from the San Diego zoo.
The visiting koalas will spend their summer vacation in the new Discovery Barn that was expanded this past year.
Their vacation will cost the zoo about $35,000 and eucalyptus flown in twice per week to quench their palette. (Sounds to me like they will be enjoying a high rise condo and feasting on prime rib.)
Those fuzzy visiting dignitaries go on exhibit on March 31 and will be quite a pleasing temporary addition to the zoo.

I recently signed up for the trial period for realestateshows.com, the product of our own Jeff Turner here on ActiveRain. I was curious (oh boy is that ever in my nature!) to see how it would help me highlight my listings here in Kansas City and how I could also use it as a listing tool during presentations.
It's not enough to say that this product is DY-NO-MITE!! Seriously folks... when the realestateshow.com guru says it can be done in just a few short minutes... he's not kidding.
