What do you the Real Estate Agent say when your potential Buyer asks, "Is This a Good Neighborhood? Would YOU Live Here?" Aside from the obvious Fair Housing Caveats, what exactly defines "Good"? Do they mean Good shopping is nearby? Or are there Good roads, city bus lines, and alternative transporation in the area? Maybe they are talking about Crime and Safety. What do YOU think? A New Trend in Real Estate? The Buyer attaches a "Personal Letter" to the Offer to Purchase. Some Buyers even include photographs! Is this a Fad, or will this become a customary and accepted way of doing business? __________________________________________________

Yesterday, I received 7 offers on a property I listed the night before. Out of those 7 offers, 4 of them had personal letters from the homebuyers and one even had a photo of the family who wanted to live there. (2 comments)

This MLS has gone way too Politically Correct! They cited a Realtor for using the term, "Retirement", calling it "Potentially Offensive". This MLS Committee enforces an unbelievably asinine list of Banned Words that will have you shaking your head in disbelief! ___________________________________________ The other day, I was notified by our local MLS that a word I had used in the marketing remarks of a new listing was potentially offensive, and was in violation of the Fair Housing Act. The word was 'retirement.' Here's the notice I received: "Attached, please find a print out of a listing or listings from your office that NWMLS has found to (5 comments)
