we're celebrating Jackie Robinson Day. All across major league baseball check out your team as I am sure some players, if not ALL will be donning #42 out of respect and honor of Jackie R. Robinson. Being a Dodger fan (plus, we're playing the Giants), I will be wearing my vintage Jackie Robinson jersey as I look forward to seeing the entire team wearing #42. As traditional as baseball is, each year, in particular with the Dodgers, players are allowed to wear that special jersey. If you've never seen it......what a sight as ALL PLAYERS THAT DAY ARE NUMBER 42.

April 12th - Happy Resurrection Day - 04/12/09 01:26 PM
to those who celebrate Resurrection Day or Easter or whatever your tradition, we hope you have a great day with family or friends or just in reflection by yourself.  As a Christian, today is a very special day as we celebrate Christ ascension from death approximately 2009 (two thousand nine) years ago and continues to be our Savior.

Baseball season has started......take a breather!!!!! - 04/11/09 12:39 PM
Many in this business look forward to the annual ritual called Baseball season, as unless you have a private box - THAT DOES NOT INCLUDES ME, of most sports you can attend the games and maintain a coherrent conversation - or for the most part be heard by whomever you are conversing with.  I guess that's why many use this sport as a mix of entertainment with business or networking sprinkled in.
My condolences to the family of Nick Adenhart.  Most of you have heard about the incident but for those who didn't he was part of the Los Angeles Angels … (5 comments)

I don't know........ but I do know if you turn to page B5 of the April 2009 edition of REALTOR magazine you will see him featured in the special edition of "Right Tools, Right Now"........  Our own Jonathan Washburn.
Seriously, I knew there was a good reason to belong to your local board of Realtors because in doing so you are automatically registered with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and part of your benefit package is your monthly edition of REALTOR magazine.

Prior to the mortgage meltdown our industry was plaqued with Foreclosure and other dishonest individuals who simply preyed on those seeking a legitimate solution to their problems.  We all knew what was going on but for the most part it was under the radar and as an industry treated that population like we do the fly who lands on our ear.........until he reappears.  Fast forward to the current environment, joining the Foreclosure scammers, … (3 comments)

Freddie Mac - Agents......It's not too late to register!!!!! - 04/06/09 09:45 AM
Everyone has heard about Freddie Mac (Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation), and if you've been in the business longer than 1 day you understand like HUD, like Fannie Mae, like Lenders........Freddie Mac has REO's which are available to the general public.  Their division which coordinates the sales is called HOMESTEPS.  Some of you already know this but for those who do not - THIS POST IS FOR YOU.
Just like with those mentioned above, they are in need of licensed agents to help move the inventory and the stock is great for First Time Home Buyers.

WHILE THE U.S. is showing progress of getting our housing market moving via refinancing and hot deals via the foreclosure market and reduction in prices, it is not a cure all and like any normal market, not everyone will be able to secure the assistance they are seeking.
Some remember the days when there were enough programs to choke a horse, yet people would proclaim they could not achieve the "American Dream."  Uh!!!! you may have thought - c'mon, there's undervalue, no down, lo down, yada yada yada.  Some finally concluded not everyone who wants to be a homeowner truly wants … (5 comments)

the day Dr. King was assassinated. Real Estate is my chosen profession and one of my passions but one of my key interest is History, and those who follow our Blogs understand why we take pride in interpreting our perspective while sharing historic topics from time to time. April Fools Day is another day for some but coming in the middle of the week THIS YEAR brings a day of relief from all the hustle/bussel of everyday life.   April Fools day is one of pranks and other antics but it's all in the spirit of fun and simply another reason to communicate with each other.
