This post was written by my good friend Larry Bettag from St. Charles, Illinois. I couldn't agree with him more about not going into debt for two to three months to pay off Christmas like some people do.  Teaching kids about money management is much more important.  It is also important to teach about giving of one's self, not just material gifts. Words to the wise and words to live by.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?  I have about fifty different rolls of wrapping paper so there is always lots of variety under the tree.  And papers that have certain designs like snowmen or teddy bears have to have the best and most prettiest part of the paper showing, even if it means wasting a lot of paper to make it look perfect :)
2. Real tree or Artificial?   Is this question for real???  A Christmas tree has to be REAL!!!  I have one at home in New Jersey and one at my vacation home in Vermont.  Keeping them both watered is … (13 comments)

Yet again, I have been tagged by the lovely and talented Kristin Moran for the latest and greatest Christmas MeMe (I am about a week late in getting to this so there is actually a new and improved latest and greatest Christmas MeMe going around (see next blog post)):).

It is with great joy that I announce that I just made my 3000th comment!  WOOHOO!  Another milestone made and gone.  Soon I will be hitting my 350th post (doesn't it feel like I just wrote a post about the 300th one??) and the biggie coming up will be 150,000 Points!  Thank you to all my on line friends who help keep it interesting.  I look forward to being part of the Active Rain community every day.
