I have done my best with articles explaining how the financial crisis happened but below is a version I thought very information and too good not to share with you, enjoy:

In response to a new government regulation the mortgage industry has adopted a new Good Faith Estimate and updated the HUD-1 settlement statement you receive at closing, whether it's a real estate purchase, a refinance or cash out. The problem: no one communicated between the government and the IRS. When you prepare your taxes there is a line item that asks if you did a refinance or purchase transaction and whether or not you paid you paid points, origination or other fees that are a potential write-off.  Well, the form has changed to combine many fees (lender fees, origination, processing, etc.) and call them 'origination'. Thanks to the over 800 runners that came out this weekend to participate in this fundraiser promoted by Frisco Sunrise Rotary Club!  HUGE Day!  This is the 3rd year for us to promote this event and it was a huge success!  As we do each year, we learned a few things but so far the feedback has been awesome.  Some constructive feedback is that we have too many runners for the 5k City approved route we use - what a GREAT problem to have!  We also heard from participants and vendors that our tent size was on the small size - … (0 comments)

I've been thinking about this lately:  If I needed a loan (and was not a mortgage broker), where would I go? What would I do? I would begin with the famous three: 1 A lender with whom I had already done business

Weeks ago, the State of Texas had a winter storm like none other and the powers that be decided that 15 min rolling black outs would be the answer for us to not have the power companies suffer power overages. 
Here in camp Davis we have about 4 in a row, but happily made it through, once we realized what was going on.  And after the 2nd one, I stopped going around the house to reset all the clocks and waited until it was over for sure.  One place I forgot (since it was turned off for the winter) was my … (0 comments)

The 2011 Lochrann's Paddy Dash is right around the corner, March 19th at Frisco City Hall.  We at Frisco Sunrise Rotary have planned for an increase in event participation as we are in our 3rd year of promotion of this family friendly event.  The event will benefit 5 local charities; The Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, Crimes Against Kids Eliminated (C.A.K.E), Frisco Cares, Frisco Family Services Center and ManeGait.  There is a 1 mile fun run/walk, a timed 5k on a Certified route, a free Piddy Pat Dash for kids 8 and younger and even something for the dogs, … (0 comments)
