We have been experiencing warmer than usual, weather for this time of year. The weatherman tonight, reported that a cold front is coming on Thursday. When we have those cold nights, the leaves will begin to turn more quickly. Today, I noticed that it is just beginning. Just a start to the beauty of the changing colors of our leaves. Notice the slight gold color starting on the middle tree. Some areas have more color than others. This location is in Glastonbury, Connecticut, near the eastern side of town, by Diamond Lake.

Wells Fargo has been sponsoring several workshops and seminars to help Realtors with their businesses in this market. Today's was a workshop with Rick DeLuca. It was held at the Crowne Plaza, in Cromwell, Ct. About twenty minutes from Hartford.
Breakfast and networking from nine to ten o'clock and then, Rick DeLuca offered his expertise, from ten until one o'clock. We had a break and Wells Fargo provided food, snacks and drinks. I don't know how many people were in attendance, but, the room was full.
Today's workshop was titled, Avoid the Twenty Biggest Mistakes that Agents Make.

My Coach is a huge advocate of writing notes. You can write them to your children, spouse, lover, family, neighbor, friends, your business associates and clients. The amazing part of a handwritten note is that, it is always read. Most times, it is valued so much, that it is kept. Receiving notes, is also, amazing. Having received them from all of the above suggestions, I can say that it is a wonderful way to acknowledge someone in your life.

We received a light amount of snow, last night. They had forecasted more, and I am happy to report that they were incorrect! On my way back, from an early morning meeting, I drove past this area of Case Mountain, in Manchester, Ct. When I was a child, my parents came to this very spot, to take the fresh spring water. It was a weekly trip. We lived in the next town. The free spring water, stopped years ago. Yes, we have heard the news! January has been the most snow falling month, since 1945. Wonderful! Schools are cancelled, again. The students will probably lose their spring vacation this year. Town budgets are off the scale because of their snow plowing costs.
This is a photo of my husband, digging out our driveway in Bolton, Ct. The snowplow has come by, only once, very early this morning. We are fortunate to have the Bobcat, from my Son's business! Makes cleaning off the driveway, way too much fun for him!

In Connecticut, the sun is shining today. Really good for melting all that snow, that has made most roads, impossible to drive on. Certainly, the visual part of driving has been at risk, due to the huge snow mounds.

Yes, in Connecticut, we were hit by a huge snowstorm. The snow will remain for awhile. The streets are still, not down to the surface. The state highway and town highway departments, are trying to remove the snow with front end loaders and large dump trucks. The snow is piled so high, that to pull out of a road, you must pull out into that next road, to see if anything is coming. Very dangerous.

Are you looking for somewhere to network, locally? If you are new in the business, or just haven't networked with your local businesses, joining and attending your local Chamber of Commerce meetings will be helpful. There may be other Realtors or Bankers there, but, there will also, be other business owners in attendance.
