If you break down what we do as real estate agents, it comes down to two primary functions. That's not to say that these functions don't expand into hundreds of tasks, but these two functions determine how good we are as agents and our level of success.

Comcast.net had this article today about two real estate agents murdered in Ohio. When we enter a house, we never know what awaits on the other side of that door. Sometimes we take it for granted and let our guard down. Safety is not only for women, as you can see if you read the article.
We owe it to ourselves and our clients to maintain an awareness about safety.

Is it the right time to buy a house?
American politics certainly brings out the worst in the politicians running for office. Unfortunately, it seems that the general consensus among politicians is to show the worst in themselves by trying to point out the worst in their opponents, and unfortunately we are bombarded with it. Naturally this makes it seem as if our financial collapse is imminent (unless we vote for them, naturally).

I recently read a good article in REALTOR magazine regarding short sale ethics and avoiding temptations.
Real estate agents are in one of the few organizations who's members sign-off on a code of ethics and are required to take periodic update courses on ethics. As a refresher, ethics are defined as a system of moral principles, a philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions.

Fun, Music, and World Class Chili at Rock Creek's Chili Fest in Superior, Colorado.
This year's Chili Fest (which was the 10th annual) more than made up for the cold, rainy day we had at last year's competition. For the town of Superior, Colorado it was a welcomed distraction. A time of remembering. A time of moving forward. 10th Annual Chili Fest returns to Rock Creek in Superior, Colorado.
The fall is such a great time of year. The dog days of August give way to cooler days. The Aspens start to prepare for our local foilage show. I do miss that the summer music shows have come to an end. But I always look forward to our Annual Chili Fest in Community Park in Rock Creek.
