Foreclosure - 05/30/08 11:56 PM
Thank you for clicking on the foreclosure emergency information link. My name is Greg Adelman and I want you to get something to write with, because in just a moment, I'm going to reveal to you the misconceptions, misrepresentations and downright lies that are responsible for the foreclosure epic that you may now be a victim of.
That's right. I said the victim. The stress and sheer terror, you may now be feeling is not your fault. Most likely the position you're in now is due to an unfortunate event, that you have no control over. You may even be in this … (0 comments)

Have a good Memorial Day - 05/22/08 06:45 PM

The pump will determine where lot's of us will spend the Memorial Day weekend. At home I will be with my family.
Gas just keeps moving up and I hear the closer oil gets to $200 per barrel the closer gas gets to $6 per gallon.
The way to combat this is to sell more houses.  The economy might be down but there are buyers hiding in the weeds.

Interest Rate Update - 05/20/08 11:35 AM
To all:   It isn't hard to be good from time to time... What's tough is being good every day." Willie Mays.   This past week saw both good and bad economic reports being released, which in turn set the stage for another volatile week in the Bond market. And because good economic news is typically bad news for Bonds and home loan rates, a better than expected Retail Sales Report started a rough ride for Bonds early on. Adding further upward pressure on home loan rates were some inflationary concerns expressed by Richmond Fed President Jeffrey Lacker and Cleveland Fed … (0 comments)

Builder Radio - 05/17/08 03:49 PM
Ijust attended a great seminar "Selling New Homes".  it was all day and jammed packed with info. I used one tip that they talked about and sold a house today.

They also have a weekly podcast that is archived so you can listen to the past and current programs.

They have been very helpful to me and I would highly recommend them.

The Spring is here - 05/07/08 08:11 PM
Spring is finally here in Minnesota and Wisconsin!!!
We have had a very cool Spring.
All the snow is gone but people want to stay in until it warms up.  This prepares us for the activity to come.  I spoke to a large local retailer and they said their activity is slow until it warms up.
We on Active Rain are always warm and I appreciate everyones comments.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER - 05/05/08 05:18 PM
To all,
"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER." It's a phrase used by many, and last week was an important one to be in the know, as Bonds and home loan rates were affected by many big newsmakers and market shakers. Bonds and home loan rates found some improvement in the early part of the week, leading into the Fed's big announcement on Wednesday of another .25% cut to the Fed Funds Rate. Typically, Bonds and home loan rates react poorly to Fed cuts, due to the increase in economic activity that lower Fed rates can cause, which turns into higher inflation. However, the Fed's … (1 comments)

My toilet and real estate - 05/01/08 02:36 PM

I got up this morning and my tank was leaking on my toilet so I had water everywhere.  Not as bad as the picture I enclosed but bad enough.
I was thinking that this relates to real estate because a little consistant effort leads to good results.  What started out as a small leak grew and became more consistant and so now it is large enough that it must be dealt with.  We just need to keep the activity up in our business and the results will happen.
