Are Professional Photographers ALWAYS Best? - 02/23/08 07:59 PM
Who knows the properties we are trying to sell and what clients are looking for better than Realtors?  I'm going to challenge conventional wisdom here and compare photos of different homes taken by a professional photographer and a Realtor.  Yes, the Realtor in this case is me, but it's not about my photography skills, it's about whether professional photographers always know best.
My contention is that while professional photographers have better equipment and are technically more astute, they haven't spent as much time on the property as we have.  We know the best angles and vantage points.  We know the selling features.  I believe what works … (25 comments)

One of the services you can provide your clients is to provide them with a moving checklist that provides them with the phone numbers of the utilities that they need to shut off or transfer in their old home and the contact numbers for the utility companies they will be using in their new home (which depending upon where they are moving to, may require some research on your part).

I thought you might like to see one of the e-mail updates that I send to the subscribers of my blog.  I have a registration widget on my right sidebar that allows readers of my blog to sign up for update e-mails.  It looks like this:
About 200 people in my community have signed up for the e-mail updates.  I use Go Daddy's permission e-mail marketing program because it is very inexpensive and easy to use.

Consider creating an Area Profile for buyers.  This is the branded version with my name and phone number, but I also have an unbranded version that agents in my office use when they want to provide information about the Black Rock market area to their buyers.
